Have you ever heard of government? That big bad thing that does things against people "without their permission"? Well at some point people realized that maybe they shouldn't trust it so much. A general mistrust always exists, but it gets worse and worse the larger and more equipped that government's military gets. That really grinds people's gears is when the government appears to outright lie, which isn't news, unless the newsstand gets a hold of it and blabbers to fuck and back about it as if what's being said is relevant to anyone at all. Historically, the government has /always/ been the most advertised thing in any society. Slowly, over long periods of time, things other than the official bullshit get on the airwaves. Slowly, over long periods of time, more and more people stop relying on the government for every-fucking-thing, which tend to gets them ostracized because they act like dicks. With the advent of the internet, these people began to be able to find each other, and continue being dicks, but with a hugbox to support their dickery. Eventually, they figured out that this societal norm where everyone pays attention to the government instead of ignoring the fuck out of it until it fades gently into the sands of time, forms a veritable and very palpable "Matrix Control System." All this human effort is hard to ignore, you know?

Demiurge is a revived gnostic concept that conspiracy nuts have bastardized into being "the one true controller" after Illumaniti, Jews, Jewish Illumaniti, aliens, greys, reptilians, and archons all turned out to be piss-poor theories that never convinced anyone to stop reinforcing the MCS. Since no force could accurately explain why things still fucking suck after all this time, they went universal, blaming the literal universe (and/or its creator (the demiurge)) for all the shit we deal with in human society today.

Also it's mostly CHAOSVOID's fault.
