I find it amusing how whenever you change your name even if you still keep whatever form from your name you're known for(my example would be the Cherry in all my names I'm known for. People lack memory of you completely. I've had this happen numerous times. I also despise when others change names because sometimes I have to delete all pm history with people so my pimd runs faster. So I get extremely confused with who anyone is. Let alone myself. But you can go like I did from being extremely well known on pimd to taking a break for like a week and name change and then be completely unknown. This is a completely pointless thread but something I was musing on today. If this is what people go through throughout their whole life. Like how many of you really remember everyone you graduated with? If they walked up to you on the street would you still remember their name or the time they made the asshole principal clean up after a shaving cream fight? Like what makes people stand out to you? Is it their names on PiMD? Their personality? Their way of being? What makes someone a somebody? And someone a nobody? #MusingsOfLackOfSleep
I believe, in this virtual world, people would only remember their name. If I change my name(Remove kaname) i'm quite sure people wouldn't even recognize me. Exept if I talk about wars lol.
I remember you, it's just with all these newer gens, Forumers and stuff becoming more known, most the oldies are being forgotten. I wasn't as well known as you, only your friends will remember you. (Totally lost my train of thought, hope you understand)

Nobody's a nobody and everyone's a somebody. Even if some people aren't known by many people, they're still known. Even the most famous people have people who've never heard of them. I don't think just a username is how you're known. For example, when spit changed names to soul or smoothie, a bunch of people (including me) knew he was spit. Not because of his profile or anything but his personality and overuse of caps. I'd like to think at least someone would recognize me even if my username was changed to something other than FallenAngel. Every single person is unique (our universe is less than a googolplex wide so there is no room for someone to be repeated — math facts). They have their own personalities, associations, and views of the world. At least one person has got to know who you are. Not sure what I just said and if it even followed the topic it's been a rough week
i always have Blunt in my name in some form, although now i suppose it would be easy to remember me cause i'd be green still lol
Hmmmm. Well, if you're a friend and I don't recognize your name any conversation we had or would have would make me recognize you. If you're a stranger I only recognize you by the name. If I dislike you then it's because you have an annoying personality and I recognize that without a name (Kelon for example).
