My favorite Weekend of College School Year

Discussion in 'Off Topic' started by GrandMaster-Dan, Apr 5, 2014.

  1. This weekend is my favorite as I am here at my University. My University hosts an event where prospective students ( high school students looking at college) get to check out the University, spend the night and experience an entire day here.

Me, I host my room each year and I love meeting them. This is a great experience for the hosts, the leaders of the event and most importantly the students looking at the school.

That'd be good if any other colleges do this, I'm sure my University does not only do it.

The name of this event is called Spotlight Weekend.

And finally... I also came to this event when before I came to this University. ️? just sharing out of excitement. Have a good day all.

  8. That sounds fun!

  9. Yay, sleepover!

  10. I guess by the looks of responses no other university/colleges appear to do this? Interesting

  11. That's pretty cool

  12. I've seen a lot that do that, it sounds interesting and fun.

  13. I went to a summer program for an university last year, it was amazing to get the feeling of the place before I applied... I applied in December and was accepted. I spent two weeks there and I loved the campus. I'm really greatful for programs that shows you the school before you apply.

  14. Thanks an actual answer

These are the best pre-college experiences in my opinion.

  15. My school now (still in highschool) have a lot of pre college programs, I was put in one that helps me the most, also I have a high GPA that also helped, there was12 students choosen out of 40 students.

  16. Well, this program is more just more of a system where :

    1) they apply
    2) they just need to be accepted to attend

They get a few hundred students that come because it is a small school with only so few student residents who would say " yes"
    To sharing their rooms.

  17. That sounds fun, I wish I can go to university for a few days during the school year, that would be wonderful.
