Cactus: Friend or Foe

  1. The cactus is a prickly desert plant. So very prickly. It's prickly category is: succulent. The prickly pear on some cacti contain peyote. I once saw a Gila Monster with a prickly tail grow to hundreds of feet in length on peyote. That was a prickly experience. In the Bible, Paul exhorted to kick against the pricks. That would be prickly and unwise. Toes covered in prickly pricks. Ouch. How prickly.

    Life is like a cactus: everywhere you turn, you meet another prick. Forrest Gump didn't say that, but he should have. He called his cactus Jenny, tried to kiss its prickly stem, and cried slow-witted tears.

  9. I totally agree with you. Pricks everywhere. So many that you cannot help but get pricked by them. Damn you pricks.
