depends on what you are really asking for… there are lots of popular players who are popular and well known cuz they help ppl and it spreads…while there are also players who build up popularity on everyones hate for them. You wont find a "most popular" cuz there are different categories for each.

Popularity has a positive connotation, it normally refers to what the majority is attracted to. For example, Johnny Depp is a popular actor. Fame can have both positive and negative connotation since it refers to something the person is known for. For example, Mr. Adolf H. and Nelson Mandela are famous for their action, but not necessarily popular. Now op, this game is not about any of that. Of course some forumers, some people on wc, some players placed high in the leaderboards and the mods are more known than other players, but it's not really the goal of the game. Some people are well known too, but they aren't mentionned as much since they're more the pm and cc type of friend.
