  1. SCP-1744
    Shell Secrets
    Class: Safe

The area around 1744 is fenced off and is restricted. Any unauthorized individuals attempting to access the area are to be turned away immediately.

The manifestation of 1744-1 is to be reported right away to the right site 39 personnel. Any instances of 1744-1 are to be collected and stored into a video surveillance testing room equipped with highly sensitive recording microphones. Any changes to the appearance of 1744-1 are to be noted immediately.

Access to 1744-1 are restricted to level 3 personnel. Remains of expired 1744-1 are stored inside a storage locker on site 39.

SCP 1744 is a shallow pond and is approximately 10m wide and 4m deep at the deepest point. The water remains relatively placid no matter how windy it is. The only time the water gets agitated is when physical contact is applied. Chemical analysis indicates there are no abnormalities save for higher content of salt when compared to fresh water.

SCP 1744 will occasionally produce White Baby's Ear seashells (SCP 1744-1) which will manifest on the surface of the water, undamaged. A small amount of 1744-1 will deteriorate over time, sometimes to the point of shattering. Rarely, 1744-1 will dissolve into sand instead of shattering.

    SCP-77

    Rot Skull
    Class: Euclid

SCP 77 is to be kept on top of a 0.5m steel pedestal in a 3mx3mx3m chamber with 0.5 m thick steel walls. The steel door which is reinforced to the chamber is to be guarded by two level 1 personnel at all times. A boom microphone connected to a speech recognition system should verify that all pronunciation is within standards. A camera is to be mounted inside the chamber at all times to record any changes.

Every 8 hours, a minimum of 2 trained D-class personnel are to enter the chamber and in a clear, loud voice, read the runes etched onto 77 at the same time. Reading must be performed by individuals who understand the meaning of the runes completely and able to pronounce the runes properly and correctly 30cm away from SCP 77.

All personnel must undergo a one-week training session Foundation linguists for pronunciation, reading and dialect coaching. A minimum of 20 D-Class personnel are to be trained or undergo training at all times.

SCP 77 is a top half of a human skull engraved with runes, filled with unrecognizable black resin. The runes change each lunar month, as well as every summer and winter solstices, spring and autumn equinoxes and whenever a partial, annular, or total solar/lunar eclipse is visible from Ireland.

If the engravings are not read aloud within a 24 hour time period, the eye sockets and nasal cavity will emit SCP 77-1. It is a luminescent green vapor of unknown nature. It behaves like a normal gas in all other ways, though it only occupies any space within the skulls line of sight.

All biological material, except for SCP 77, will melt into a viscous, malodorous ooze when coming into contact with it.

Reading SCP-077's engravings has noticeable, if transient, effects on the health of the readers. These effects include nausea, cramps, headache, dizziness, incontinence, fever, skin rashes, nosebleeds, and fugue states. Effects intensify as the time between readings increases, and can become cumulative for individuals who read the engravings too many times consecutively and/or too frequently. Readers have a 60% chance of developing an allergy to potatoes.
