The Mercenaries

  1. Jack turned the knob and pushed the door open. Inside the room was lit by a shaft of light coming from a large decorated mosaic window. The room had the smell of that of an old library. Which was appropriate due to the booksheves that stood against the wall, stacked with books.

In the middle of the room was an expensive gilded desk and at that desk sat a older man who wore teal robes over a suit of chainmail.

  2. Why do I always think of the pope when I think of robes?

    Morepls. 

  3. The man put down his quill and looked up at the group. "jack, what is this?"

Jack gestured at the group, "experiences fighters and grand mercenaries I HAND picked, General Pakar."

"Jack hand picked? They must be good."

  7. Jack nodded, "they are sir"
Pakar sighed, "we are in need of strong recruits for the front lines, mainly at Fort Sedfer, jack you stay here and help me write anteater proposing their intervention into the war and hopefully the front. Danzo, show them to the barrack living quarters, I'm sure they and the rest of the port army and recruits had a long day."

    Danzo nodded, "yes sir!"

He gestured at the group and walked out of the grand office, the door closed shut behind him and you could faintly hear Jack talk to Pakar.

As the group walked down the halls, Yesha eyed Lictoral curiously.

  8. A letter* not anteater lmao

  9. Lictoral returned the glance before danzo caught the groups attention. They had stopped at a large doorway, no doors. But past it was a large living quarter area, a long dining table in the middle and to the left of it was a door that lead to sleeping quarters, nine to a room.

The group made their way into one of these rooms. Along the wall were nine beds, a trunk at the foot of each one. For a barracks of a old port town the rooms were well kept and had a sense of privacy.

Danzo nodded, "get settled, this is where you stay the night. Seeing how jack insists you all have special treatment you can choose your beds unlike most recruits who are assigned." danzo then left.

Satar quickly did the math, "there are eight of us, and I doubt they will be wasting a bed, so I assume a stranger will be sharing the room with us, so Luke, gett Tal calm."

Suddenly the noise of footsteps and chatter filled the living quarters outside their separate room, Lictoral spoke the obvious, "it would appear the rest of the recruits have made it to the quarters."
