There are too many sick people about. I am not talking about those poor souls with Chlamydia nor Flu, they are easy to cure – no, I am talking about those people who are sick inside and they are not always so easy to spot. There is a certain type of person who gets enormous fun out of hurting strangers. It is easy to spot these social misfits; they strut around shouting - ‘Look at me – I’m BAAAAD! Hate me!’ Yeah, right, if you say so…but hate takes energy and I am just too tired at the moment. I will simply despise you instead. The really dangerous people are those who hide their sickness behind a mask of friendliness or civility. They are the ones who get a kick out of manipulating, controlling and ultimately hurting their ‘friends’. You must know the sort of people I mean, they are all over you like a rash, showering you with ridiculous compliments and sickly sweet messages. Most people think they are just being friendly and take it all at face value, they might even be flattered. I, on the other hand, have always suffered from rampant paranoia and treat all such approaches with deep mistrust. I know I am not special and do not warrant this sort of attention so what is that these people really want from me? Most of the time they see that I have something they don’t have - happiness. In their twisted minds they think if they manage to take happiness from it will make them happier? Of course what actually happens is everyone ends up being unhappy. I have seen many despicable things and by far the worse are those perpetrated by ‘friends’. It is bad enough to be betrayed by a lover or spouse but when that betrayal is with a close and trusted friend it becomes intolerable. The only comfort I have is that in very many cases the people who are hurt the most are those who have hurt others in the past. ‘What goes around comes around’ certainly seems to apply when it comes to infidelity and betrayal. Unless it is the FSM listening to my daily prayer, ‘May everyone get what they deserve.’ Passion
Unfortunately, the paranoiac and distrustful pose will attract the flatterers... The temptation to crack the veneer and see of there's warmth underneath is hard to resist.

Well this is true!. But at times some people are just nice… and are really nice! I have encounted 'fake nice' ones and 'real nice' ones before… the fake ones went away/unfollowed me when i went inactive(that i tot were my very close friends) … but the real ones stayed! ty for sharing!
