Just A Little Rant

  1. I'm not usually one of those guys that flips out whenever someone is wrong on the Internet.

I'm making an exception this time.

Someone (*cough*ghost-agent92*cough*) complained on campus that people who brag about being in the military in this game are either fake or pogs. While I think it's wrong and offensive to fake a military background, there is nothing wrong with being a POG.

POG (pronounced Pohg) means Personnel Other than Grunt. Anyone in the military whose job isn't infantry. From cooks to pilots to mechanics to accountants.

Whether you were infantry or not, whether you deployed or not, you are still military. You have every right to be proud. If you deployed you are a veteran, even if you never saw combat. You have every right to be proud. Finally, you can be a "paper pusher" and still see combat... And yes be wounded or die.

And mr ghost-agent or anyone else who disparages roughly 50% of all our service members, I have graves I would like you to visit... Memorials I would like you to read... Citations for which you should bear witness.

And in the meanwhile, just like I wrote on your wall: go fuck yourself

  2. And BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE

  3. My father proudly served in the United States Air Force. While he never saw combat he risked his family life for his dedication to his country. Selflessly serving is something to be commended for not something to be scoffed at.

  4. Gift me hire me spam me Lucky Bubs gift me what I want on my Wall

  5. AND THE CROWD GOES WILD

    (AHHHHHHHHH!!!)

  6. Hmmm, apparently the trolls have nothing better to do tonight.

  7. *salutes* that was great

  8. No, not trolling, completely cheering for this thread. My mom is a veteran, and my brother and bestfriend both are entering the military. Just cause you read it in sarcasm doesn't mean it was sarcastic.

(If you were speaking of me in that post. If not carry on.)

  9. Although I have nothing of substance to add, I really like this thread. I'm too big of a coward to ever do anything in the military, and I'd consider myself normal. They deserve the respect.

  10. Not meant for you.

The troll noob it was meant for.

  11. my father served in United States Air Force, United States Army, and National Guard for a total of 28 years of service 1970-1998. I commend all that make the decision to risk their lives to protect mine.

  12. Ninjatard I still love you..

  13. I agree with this.. Support Our Troops!

  14. My family has a very long history of military service (sadly I couldnt join)(too fat XD) anyways.… Back to the point… I agree with Ninja 110%! If you cant respect a military member, rather it be a bathroom cleaning cook or a 5 star general, then please just keep ur mouth shut. No matter your country nor ur heritage u should respect ur military…

    Point made…
    Thanxツ

  15. Good luck Bonecrusher

  16. We have a saying in Canada, If you don't want to stand behind our military, feel free to stand in FRONT of it.
