  10. It doesn't matter if there is a black, white, tan, or freaking purple month. MLK is inspirational to me because he followed his dreams. He stood by his beliefs and he spoke his mind, as well as standing behind everything he preached. No one could change his mind or influence him to stop doing what he felt so passionate about. He stood to his words, and spoke his mind and feelings, not giving a damn if others didn't agree with him, and in my opinion that is admirable in anyone. I have respect for everyone who is that way.

  16. Columbus Day,and George Washington is a white day if you want to consider MLK day a black holiday.MLK Day isn't a black holiday. Its a holiday that's honoring a great man.,who was a spokesman for nonviolent activism in the civil rights movement, which successfully protested racial discrimination in federal and state law.

  17. ? we asked for a month. Not a day.

  18. Black history month is a day to recognize the achievements of blacks who would other not be recognized.

  19. I am very grateful for MLK(and everyone else that fought for human rights) he made it possible for me to achieve many goals that I likely wouldn't have! Let's continue to honor his legacy and make sure no human being has to be subjected to inequality.

  20. We have 11 Months of white history, give it a rest! This is a peaceful thread, if you have nothing intelligent to say....then get the hell off the thread!
