Ahliedel's quick tips! Well hello, my pretties! Thought I'd share a few pearls of wisdom with you, all of which have, unfortunately, come from personal experience PERSONAL Never use a large wax strip to get rid of the downy hairs on your cheeks.. Even if the wax is made for sensitive skin.. And especially not an hour before you're scheduled to work.. You'll be left with those downy hairs, red, stinging patches on your cheeks, and will have to call in sick to avoid embarrassment.. Be careful when using scissors in sensitive areas.. One tiny little snip in the wrong place isn't gonna feel tiny for long When someone knocks on your bedroom door, waking you up, make sure your clothes haven't adjusted themselves overnight before yelling out for the knocker to come in.. Or, just don't wear really loose tops to bed at all.. ? AT HOME When making a coffee, it's always advisable to make sure the kettle is switched on at the power point.. Filling it with water, sitting it on it's cradle, and flicking the switch on DOES NOT guarantee the water will boil.. Imagine your surprise when you sip lukewarm, not hot, coffee ? Just remember to listen for the sound.. Even the quietest of kettles will let you know they're boiling.. If someone in your house has a new boy/girlfriend, invest in some noise canceling headphones, and some foam ear buds for sleeping.. Just don't forget to turn your alarm up slightly.. Always check the washing machine thoroughly before doing a load of laundry.. Your sister may have put her new jeans into the machine, which don't really mix well with your whites.. Unless you like grey/blue spots on everything.. OUT AND ABOUT When going away on holidays, set a reminder to pack your phone charger.. With everything packed and ready to go, it can often be overlooked.. When preparing to travel home, set another reminder, as the charger you purchased to fill in for the forgotten one probably wasn't cheap enough to be considered a donation to your hotel When ordering French plunger style coffee at a cafe, remember to never pull the plunger up once you've started pushing down.. It will not end well.. Don't put sharp-cornered packages in the same plastic grocery bag as heavy items like milk or pasta sauces.. One little tear can turn into a huge mess pretty quickly.. You could end up embarrassing yourself, arguing with the alt of someone you know Always double check your spelling when posting in an unfamiliar club chat.. You could accidentally post something regrettable, like this There's a few tips from me.. What tips have you learned through embarrassing experience? Or has someone else given you any ridiculous advice?
I'm a sucker for that coffee one.. I wait around for about 15 minutes wondering why the kettle hasn't boiled.. Then realized it's not turned on at the point. Or better yet I reboil the kettle about 5 times before I actually make a coffee cause I walk away then come back
What about tips to save yourself from public embarrassment? is be interested to hear your thoughts on that Ahli
embarrassed myself publicly many times.. One that stands out is being at an RSL club with friends one night.. I was wearing a skirt, and was standing getting ready to leave.. I knelt on a chair to hug my friend goodbye, but my heel got stuck on the hem of my skirt, and when I stood up....
AHAHAHAHA I'm sorry but that's gold! I usually get embarrassed by the push/pull doors.. Then one time I got stuck in some random room cause I was playing with lift controls, it was like a mini floor inbetween floors of a shopping centre with a bunch of rooms and it had all the control rooms and everything, then the alarms went off and I was let out be security infront of a massive crowd.. ?
