So, to follow through with my nostalgia from a few days ago, I have a question... A friend and I were just talking about meeting another player for the first time, back in our noob days.. And it made me look back over my time on pimd.. I know a million of these threads have been made, but I pose a different question to you.. Do you ever think back to your first few months of the game, and sort of feel like it was literally a different game? People can say the game has changed so much, and it isn't the same, but I'm talking literally.. Pimd is almost indistinguishable from what it was 2 years ago.. With every update, every party, every promo, we've become more selfish and unempathetic.. There is less understanding amongst players, less respect, and more grudges.. As more and more of the legendary names of pimd are either quitting or becoming semi active, we are left with those eager to make a name for themselves, whatever the cost.. Feels like pimd has become overrun with teenagers thinking they're invincible, acting without thought, and driving mature players into hiding or off the game completely.. It's pretty frustrating and disheartening to see a game I loved so much turn into a playground for nasty, spiteful kids.. Most are either self loathing, and project that on to others, or are so self centred, and can't see the consequences of their actions, or worse, don't care.. Instead of seeing us all brought together to celebrate the Christmas and New Year period, I'm seeing even more of a divide, even more frustration, and even more respected players disappear.. How have YOU felt about pimd lately? Ehh, that is all.. Pointless, ranty thread is pointless.. Comment your thoughts, or don't.. Please your **** selves
I don't exactly know how you feel but I remember watching my brother play this (he joined in 2012)mercing in wars and such. He loved playing on the forums and just having fun in general. Mag was his friend. He just quit all of a sudden for some reason but I'm guessing it's because of this.
Since I joined in early 2011, the game as changed as OP said and I do agree 100% that most players on today are just there to be greedy and not help others out.
I first joined back in 2011, and I remember the first club I was in called "Silence of Fire" I actually have no idea why I joined a club with such a sinister name, but hey. And I remember being super close with this guy named Tony and a girl named Mari and we were pretty much a clique of our own, if there even CAN be cliques on PimD. But alas, they became inactive and the club was disbanded. I really miss having people like them and clubs like that, but oh well. I like my club now and what friends I have, so I'm happy. Although I do hate seeing the game overrun with immature people as opposed the the olden days
thinks have changed tremendously since I started playing. I embrace change for the most part. however, the maturity level of players have decreased. we want to think that those wreaking havoc are kids but I think they are adults. the funny thing is that some would go off left on a player these days because they asked to be volleyed on campus when in my noob days that's what we were taught to do. it wasn't uncommon. I can go on and on but there's no point.
