You all may think that people only join the military to get the money. A regular job in the military doesn't pay much so you can stop thinking that. I'm going infantry not for money but for my country and for the people that I want to have the freedom to say what they want. I'm joining so parents can feel safe about their kids walking to school without stepping on an IED. So say I'm joining for the money when I'm not doing infantry where you get shot at daily barely gives $30,000 a year.
Hate if you want it's my dream since I was six. I'm just putting it out there for those people who think people join the military just for the money.

I think it's great that you're patriotic and that you care so much for your country. And for those that actually do care and wonder, it's good for them to know that some don't join the military for the money. But that doesn't mean that joining because of the money, or because they pay your way through college or give you certain benefits is wrong, either. But since you're happy, I'm happy for you, too!

I once planned to join the army... I just never did, it's not worth anything anymore I'm not hating, just saying it has no value in joining anymore. I still plan on being an engineer in the army though.
