If you want a smaller service that can do a better job at helping you personally, go Coast Guard. If you want a large organization that you will likely just be another number, then go Army. If you want to save lives, go Coast Guard. A common misnomer.... The Coast Guard doesn't only patrol the coast. They go world wide. They patrol all around the world.
Well off you join, it's a 7 year contract If you decide to out, you have to pay your way out It pays relatively good. Probably not for the faint hearted
