The burly old man slammed his tankers onto the table, "you dumb shit! You almost got your ass killed." A younger looking man sat across from the man. He threw a blood-soaked dagger onto the table, "who's blood is that, Satap? Hmm? Not mine." The burly Man, Satap, "shook his head, your an arrogant one, Lictoral, but you did what was asked." Lictoral smiled then leaned back in his chair, "pay?" Satap threw a small bag of gold onto the oaken table. He shook his head then stood up, "come on, the others are already at the stables." Lictoral smiled at the bag before tucking it away on his person, "we don't tell the others of this personal job, right? After all they all just got out of that other job killing those thieves, the stress is enough." Satap stood up and heaved a large axe over his shoulder, "you win."
I never promised anything pretty besides I write fantasy. All my books are fantasy. Why not keep it that way
The two walked out of the bar. The sun shone hard on them. Satar scratched his scruffy beard, "so.. Stables?" Lictoral nodded. Then started off. Then he stopped and turned to satire who followed, " I heard about that story of you and that client. The one about the kidnapping." Satar attempted to hide a smile, "so?" Lictoral stared at Satar, "is Uh.. Did she.. And you.. Uh.. Really now? Satar let out a beaming smile, "let's keep walking to those stables, boy!" Lictoral shook his head and walked to the stables. A Woman dressed in thick leather approached Lictoral, "where were you?!" Three others followed behind her, one a lean man with dark hair and wore the clothes of a woodsman, an other a Man with a scruffy yet gentle face and wore chainmail, the last a large dark greenish brownish Orc like thing, he wore plated leather and had a dumb look on his face. Drool found it's way out of it's mouth. Lictoral looked at the beast like thing, "Luke, you lr friend Tal seems to be.. Well you know." Luke looked at the Orc, "Tal! Close your mouth!" Tal looked lazily at Luke, "unkay" The women stared Lictoral down, "well? We've been waiting!" Satar shoved Lictoral aside, "we were at the tavern! Grabbing a pint and whAt not!" The dark hairs man spoke up, "without us?" Satar looked at the man, "yes Damrel without you." Damrel looked down at his booted feet then back at Satar, "your an ass you know that?" Satar nodded, "very much so."
Damrel sighed, "well let's go to the inn, I hear a party is going on, good place to pic up jobs.." Satar slapped the mans back, "righto! Good thinking." he started off. He turned back around. The Woman was still staring at Lictoral, "oh let it go Yesha! We just wanted to be alone!" Yesha looked at Satar, " if you found any jobs and are not telling us, things aren't going to be pleasant." Lictoral laughed, "nothing of the sort. Come on let's go." Luke looked at Tal, "you stay close to me, got it?" Tal nodded, "yes." he said in his slow deep voice. Suddenly a man dressed in grey cloths ran out of the stable, straw was up in his brown hair. He shook them out. Lictoral laughed, "Conner! Good of you to join us!" Conner smiled, "no problem." Damren looked at Conner, "what were you doing in there, brother." Satar laughed, "sleeping by the looks of it, keep your younger brother in check Damren." Conner handed Damren twin blades, "thanks Conner" Damren tied them to his belt, "let's go?"
