  8. Almost is subjective, but usually implies within the hour (specific time), day (as in 24hr deadline), week (current week), month (within two weeks).


    In each case, the time remaining is far less than the time elapsed.


    You would however sound foolish to say it's almost midnight if it were 10pm.
