?point blank rather you have feelings for him and he knows it or not one on one at a fair or carnival screams I wanna spend alone time with you, or it's a date. That may have been why he stood you up, I suggest inviting a few friends and ask if he wants to come along.

He's afraid this little 'fair' might make him do something that could ruin your friendship SO he stood you up and made you think he's an ass.

If you ask him why he stood you up, he'd end up telling you that️so he avoids it.

Well if he's a good friend, don't make him pay. It'll just add more conflict to the situation (if you want that). Although he didn't show up last time I suggest you invite him again without any payback. People make mistakes ? maybe he's too ashamed or embarrassed to apologize about what happened last time or just forgot about it. If you want payback, maybe think of something else instead? Inviting him again would show that you're desperate for his attention, Id just find a different friend to go with.

And to those saying going with a guy friend somewhere screams date, thats not necessarily true, girls and guys can be just friends.
