Surreal. • Prologue • . . The boy sat cross legged upon his perch. His eyes were closed, and his lips were parted like they wanted to talk. His facial features were sunken; his eyes surrounded by darkened circles. The boys' skin was snowy white - contrasting with his closed eyes - pale and flaky. His hair was shaggy and long; a dark black colour enhanced with a streak of grey. . . He sat, nonchalant to the world in his secluded spot. Behind him the wind howled, yet it came to a sudden still when it reached the close to adolescent boy. A bubble of serenity surrounded him, calm yet enchanting. . . The trees swayed, dancing in the dim light of the dying sun, and the shadows twirled around. It seemed peaceful and happy. The sound of rushing water could be heard from nearby, a pretty waterfall laying gracefully upon the hill. . . The boy looked out of place, wearing shabby jeans and a torn top. His pale feet were bare and blistered, his hands discreetly hidden behind his arched bony back. . . He'd been sentenced here, a sacrifice to nature. His body, motionless, lay untouched in it's majestic home. He was alive; the boy forced to spend eternity in his trapped faćade. . . The boy could only be free when someone were to discover his lifeless form. But who would find his secret, and who would stop the enchantress striking again? . . A simple mistake: an eternety of torture. That was all the enchantress's doing. . . The twisted creature was getting restless though. She needed new prey. . . Will anyone figure out the cursed boy and his secret? And will that be enough stop the enchantress striking again? ---- . . If I get chance I'll post chapter one before I go on holiday, later today. Weird start, but yeah. :3
• Chapter One • - The Enchantress - . .The Enchantress looked around through her beady eyes, grinding her teeth loudly. Her snow white teeth appeared for a brief moment, biting down on her blood red lips. She needed a target. . .A strangled sound escaped her lips, like a raven's cry longing for escape. It had been too long. The boys' powers had been weakened, and now the monster was free to strike again. . .Her crooked nose twitched, before the Enchantress discovered her new prey. She stalked towards the girl, the fakest of smiles forced upon her bewitched lips. "Hello," she breathed out. "I do believe you were to show me around?" - Jess - . .Jess trudged along the carpet of gravel, shivering lightly as she did so. Soft snowflakes floated down gracefully, resting elegantly upon her smooth dark hair. The wind whistled tunefully, disguising the girls noisy chattering teeth. . .Jess ran a hand through her hair, trying to rake out the melting snow. A wince spread across her features; she was already late. . .Quickening her pace, the girl approached the familiar dull building. Her eyes looked curiously at the graffitied walls, before travelling up to the newly installed double doors. . .Jess had set off late from her run down home, and struggling with the cold she had eventually reached her dreaded school. . .She slipped through the glass decor, sighing as she entered the main office. Jess raised an eyebrow at the dimly lit room, but shrugged it off. The office ladies were always a little odd. Jess looked around the room curiously, clicking her tongue impatiently. She was told to arrive here to show the new girl arround. . .Letting her deep blue eyes travel around the darkened room, the girl examined the furniture. Unlike the rest of the school, the furniture was old and worn, contrasting with the new doors. . .Sat cozily in the corner of the room was a tall dying plant, perched next to a wooden desk. In the corner were a few rotting cupboards, and there was a window which was shaded through thin moth eaten curtains. . .Jess quirked an eyebrow, but remained silent. Begining to get bored, the minutes soon passing, she removed her phone and began to flick through apps. . .Unknown of the monster now entering, the girl continued to play on her phone, absorbed in the over rated gane. . .A gasp escaped her lips as she felt a bony finger tap her shoulder, quickly spinning her slim body around. Her wide eyes landed on the 'girl' in front of her. "Uh, hello?" Jess said hesitantly, looking at the girl curiously. Jess noticed her greasy hair and sunken eyes, shuddering slightly. . ."Hello," the Enchantress murmured. "I do believe you were to show me around?"
. . Going to Wales but the next part is already written up, so I'll post it on Friday when I get back. . . Yay, the indents worked! ^-^
Thanks! ^-^ Was on holiday, but I've written up the next few parts/chapters so I'll post one in a sec ahah.
•Chapter Two• [Shorter part that is a bit crappy... Next is longer and better though ahah.] Jess P.O.V: . .Jess opened her mouth but no sound came out. Confused, she tried again, "uh, o-okay?" The young girl stuttered. She then raked a hand through her dark hair, slightly disgruntled by the sudden appearance. Recovering her composure, she spoke up again in a light British accent. "You're the new girl I take it?" . .She winced a little as the Enchantress simply watched her through icy blue eyes, shrugging her own slim shoulders. "Uh, okay, well I guess I'll show you around..."Jess continued, beginning to regret ever coming. •••• . .Half an hour later, the rushed tour was over. They stood outside the lockers, where minutes earlier the girl had pointed out the Enchantress's. . .Jess scratched the back of her head, wondering what to say to the unusual girl. So far the enchantress had only responded when spoken too, and even then she showed no emotion. "So, uh that's everything!" Exclaimed Jess with fake enthusiasm, eager to get away from the awkward encounter. . .The Enchantress nodded, flicking her fiery orange hair behind her shoulder, letting the frizzy waves fall to just below her shoulder blades. Her eyes stared blankly at Jess, mumbling in a dry voice which lacked the hint of any accent, "right. Thanks." . ."It's okay... Well if you need anything just ask me," Jess said, before muttering under her breath, "but preferably don't." She uncomfortably stood there for a moment before letting a sigh slip through her soft pink lips. Awkwardly, but beginning to grow unsure if this was actually better than missing Maths, she turned on her white Converse heel and disappeared down the windy corridor. . .As she walked, she resisted the urge to look back. She felt the other 'girl's eyes bore onto her... A shiver running up her spine as she sped up, nearly stumbling around the dimly lit corridor corner. •••• The Enchantress's P.O.V . .She watched the girl go, her eyes glued to the disappearing back until it eventually disappeared around the corner. A small smirk tugged on her crimson lips; now she just needed to get closer to the prey. I mean, the girl, right. . .At that thought, a frown crossed her sharp features. That could be difficult, considering human interactions puzzled her. Still, it wouldn't take long before the boy had company, the Enchantress thought as she wickedly grinned. . ."I'm coming for you."
•Edited by: SamieWinters.• •Chapter Three• . .Jess bit softly on her lower lip as she approached the corridor leading to Maths. She was curious as to the where the new girl came from. She couldn't help feeling a little uneasy, despite the distance between the two of them. It’s all going to plan the Enchantress thought to herself, a smirk playing on her lips. . .She paused for a few moments and, feeling slightly ridiculous, she tilted her head to glance behind her. Like the dozens of other times she had looked, nothing was there. Her wide eyes searched the empty hallway, but still, nothing was there apart from the few posters that were pinned to the several display boards. . .A frown appeared on her face, it was as rare thing for her. She had the feeling that she was being watched, but considering her eyes had found nothing, she decided she was just being paranoid. With that thought she headed over to her Maths room, her pace a little faster than before. . .The Enchantress lingered behind a fallen display, a small smirk curved upon her lips as her slit-like eyes watched the girl disappear into her classroom. "1, 2, I'm coming for you," she murmured, a throaty chuckle escaping her lips as she began to hum the morbid rhyme, her charcoal eyes alight. ••• . .After passing the teacher a note, written by the principal, explaining where she had been. She girl made her way through the uncomfortably quiet class and took a seat at the back, she ignored the curious heads turned to her and began to get out her books; only looking up after the general chatter of the class had resumed and the attention was lifted from her. . .She had always been a quiet girl, much to her social mothers' dismay, but most that knew her had gotten used to her shyness over her fourteen years of existence. It was normal, hence the pink tinting her cheeks as she hurriedly fumbled about with her textbooks. . .As the class progressed, the blonde-haired boy beside her tapped her arm repeatedly. After a few minutes, she rolled her eyes and let the pen drop to the sheet of graffitied paper. "What?" She asked in a British accent that was common in the school, moving her skinny arm to her lap. . . "Whale," he began, a slight smirk flitting across his lips, "How come you were like, forty minutes late?" The boy asked, leaning back in his green plastic chair, pushing the completed worksheet away to the end of his charred wooden desk. . .She opened her mouth for a moment before pausing, somewhat reluctant to speak. "Uh, showing a new girl around..." She trailed off, but the boy simply blamed her hesitance on shyness. . ."Ooh, what's her name? What does she look like?" The boy asked grinning with sudden interest as he drummed his fingers on the desk. New people were quite rare at the quiet countryside school; the thoughts on the popular boys' mind were quite obvious, especially to the intelligent girl. . .Considering her usual quietness, her sarcasm went unnoticed, much to her amusement. "Her name is Ember," she replied honestly, remembering seeing the girls' name tag when they first met. "She seems friendly... She has long blonde hair and is fairly tanned. She's kinda tall and slim though, and her eyes are blue," she lied, raising an eyebrow as the boy grinned wider. "Idiot," she mumbled to herself, turning back to her half-complete worksheet. . ."Seriously?" He asked, causing another roll of her eyes. She simply nodded and he grinned as he looked away, sitting up straighter. "I want to meet her!" he exclaimed before adding sheepishly, "I uh mean, she sounds cool," he corrected with a laugh. "I mean, it'd be cool to meet her," the boy rambled. She simply smirked. . .As if on cue, the classroom door flew off of its hinges, revealing the frizzy haired girl that had been the topic of conversation. Jess took in her greasy ginger hair and sunken face, flashing the boy a sarcastic smile. "Guess I might have got her appearance a little wrong..."
*She stated as she turned back to face the teacher, signalling the end of the conversation. (That should be at the end)
Thanks! :3 Sorry haha, I was going to keep it but I've already written the next part, which kind off doesn't fit with that. :3 Plus I failed at copying and pasting. Imagine that bit's there ahah. :3
