Well, hello kids! Today is a special day to me, as it's Mike and my one year anniversary together To celebrate, I wanted to share with you our story! I first met Mike when he randomly posted something silly on my wall, in May of last year. He was always funny and friendly when we spoke, but always forgot who I was Even unfollowed me twice he also had a penchant for sending me trout when he unfollowed me during the BoS 4 war, I gave him hell as punishment, he decided it was his duty to find me a pimd hubby ? Every day, he'd check on my progress, and give me a hard time about not having found someone when his own pimd marriage ended, I took it upon myself to return the favour.. And thus began the war to end all wars ***WARNING*** The following may contain extreme outbursts of mushiness. In the event of excess gooeyness, please seek advice from your preferred healthcare professional August - The War Following weeks of pestering about finding me a hubby, I thought it was only fair to help Mike with the same this led to an all out war between us!! It was madness, consisting of who could get the other the most follows!! We posted on campus and walls non-stop for hours, and by the end of the first day, I'd taken the lead on the second day, I had a team of girls fighting in my corner, and Mike was swamped with follows I will admit, he stepped it up that say, and I had my own fair share of notifs not only that, but we trash talked each other, and kept one another updated on our incoming followers I was having a fantastic time.. By the third day, I realised I really liked the guy, and looked forward to him coming online that evening, we called a draw on the war.. We both won - each other September Things were going brilliantly, and every day we were getting closer to each other in September, there were hints about making it official so as a surprise, I changed my alt's name to match his he was so thrilled, he pimd proposed, and we changed our main names to match this was also the era of the wall babies anyone and everyone was subject to our crazy antics via convos on their walls We also called each other for the first time in September October In October, Mike helped make my birthday spectacular I was spoilt with gifts and wall art, as well as him making me laugh all day. he even sang for me The rest of October was a bit of a rollercoaster, as we realised just how much we felt for each other, which was scary and thrilling at the same time November In November, Mike helped make a difficult situation more bearable when I had to move interstate? it was a very emotional time for me, yet he stood by me, and made the whole process much easier, making me laugh and smile the through it all Having him around helped me settle into life back at home very smoothly.. Also, we started talking to each other on the phone more this month December In December, we video called for the first time! I've gotta say, I was crazy nervous I could barely stop giggling it was the first time I'd seen his smile, and it blew me away and even though we'd talked on the phone, and in pm all the time, I was speechless but, true to his nature, he made it so easy to talk to him celebrating Christmas and New Years with him was very special, and a lot of fun I even got a special Christmas present After he made me sing Jingle Bells to him in public we stood together as a team this month too January In January, we were calling each other a lot, often losing track of time, and talking for hours we also experienced a mass silencing of both our mains and alts, for our flirting on campus just sharing the love, geez.. We started our own club for our alts, 'Mike and Ahli's Paradise', and had a lot of fun with it It was also the beginning of the fraawg saga, where I teased his pronunciation of the word 'frog' February February month of love!! I was so proud of Mike for reaching LCBC this month! He worked so hard for it, and he was so pleased with himself then he spoilt me for Valentines Day, with gifts and wall posts, followed by a video call Feb 2012 was a hard time in my life, and I was worried about how I'd cope this year, but Mike stood beside me, making extra effort to make me feel loved March In March, after 11 months of playing, I reached LCBC! Mike helped a lot by hiring dead tutes in the last few weeks as I got close. About halfway through the month, we had a hiccup and I panicked.. But, true to form, we talked things through, and came out better for it Managed to celebrate St Patrick's Day, Mike and Ahli style which was followed by the most spectacular Easter wall story ever!! April We started April off with a bang, when I played a terribly cruel April Fools joke on him.. I told him I'd been offered an interview at a company a few hours from him.. Broke my heart to tell him I was kidding we played on each others walls a lot this month, and found ourselves with daily readers ? May In May, Mike was super excited for me when I was offered a working trial, and supportive when I wasn't chosen for the job he encouraged me to keep looking, and inspired me to take steps towards a career I'd actually enjoy! Overall, this was a really good month for us June In June, we started a pwar club together, the name of which caused quite the controversy it also saw him permanently silenced.. On his birthday.. fortunately, the silence was reversed the next day!! I think the birthday gift I sent him made him feel better, but it ruined Vegemite for him forever (*note - don't spread it thick like peanut butter!! just use a tiny amount ) We added a new member to our family, Mr Pepe Le Fraaawg July July was, by far, the most difficult month we've been through. Mike was working long days, so our time together was shorter.. A series of miscommunications led to confusion, and things were shaky.. we'd have good days, but we were both questioning whether things were real. Towards the end of the month, we'd both done a lot of thinking, and decided it was worth working out.. August Following a rocky July, this month has by far been one of our best.. We've worked together to bring back the magic we experienced early in our relationship against distance and timezones, we've managed to reconnect in a wonderful way. So, here's to you, Mike for finding new ways to make me laugh every day for always making want to jump around and dance like a crazy person for standing by me when I needed support and for the way you never cease to amaze me Thank you for the most wonderful year! We've had more ups than downs, and I wouldn't trade that for anything! I love you, my teammate Your Ali
