Grey spirals streaked the darkened sky, an eery silence settling across the approaching night air. Down below was a carpet of shades of green; desolate fields stretching out for miles, illuminated only by the light of a lamppost far off. The lamppost flickered occasionally, the only one for miles. Shadows danced around the moonlit fields, shaking and dancing and doing their work. They echoed the trees, moving with grace and agility. The occasional rabbit could be seen darting across the nonchalant fields, it's eyes wide, as if it was running from some unknown beast. In the distance an owls cry could be heard, or even a slight rustle of leaves. Low whistles filled the air. Wind blowing, trees waving with rage and shadows dancing with sharp quick movements. You shudder, tension filling the cool night air. You run a pale hand through your messy long hair, biting down on your lower lip out of habit. "I'll be there soon," you mutter to yourself, with obvious fear. You swallow, your throat dry. You regretfully stop for a moment, trying to catch your ragged breath. Your hand slip behind the long sleeves of your tattered hoodie, hiding the goosebumps that were pricking your pale skin. You breath deeply, trying to calm your shaky breath. You had never been fond of the dark, and it seemed the eery atmosphere was building up. But too what? You winced, trying to shrug off your paranoid thoughts. Trying to think of other thoughts to calm your trembling body down, you thought of your task ahead. You originally came from a poor place, and poverty was clear there. It was your job to get to the city and find a job there, then bring back money for the struggling village. Sounds easier that it is. You sighed softly, your bright green orbs then widening slightly. It sounded so loud... Deciding too screw the bravery act, you began to walk quickly across the never ending field, wincing at every crunch of a leaf under your worn boots. A relieved smile plastered your face as you spot the wooden faded fence nearby. Your footsteps speed up, determined to get out the field. Bang! A loud nightmare boom sounded from behind you. You froze in fear, your face a deadly pale of white. W-what was that? -*-*-*-*- What will you do? A- Stay frozen. B- Run to the fence and try to get out. C- Turn around and investigate. I will choose of the majority of votes. -*-*-*-*- This is my first story like this, so it may be kind off bad to begin with. I don't want to reveal too much yet though, as this is only like the first bit. :3 Constructive criticism is appreciated! Thanks for reading.
I really like this. It's like a "Choose Your Own Adventure" type of thing. The description is great, and the vocabulary and sentence structures- Anyways. I choose C, obviously.
Haha, thank you. cx A- 0 B- 0 C- 1 I'll wait a while and If no one else comments, I'll go with C and upload later. This may be weird though as the story isn't at all planned out, but please read it still. xD
It's not that long, but I'm pretty much half awake. xD -*-*-*-*- You close your emerald tainted eyes for a moment, fear radiating through your body. A few seconds passed and you reluctantly forced your eyes open, looking at the ground. The ground was slightly wet, shiny teardrops clinging to the fresh blades of grass. In between the tangle of overgrown grass were a few plants, waiting there maliciously with poisonous thorns. One second turns to two, two seconds turn to a minute, a minute turns to five. You let out a shaky sigh, knowing you can't stand there forever. Gradually you raise your head, a bead of sweat trickling down your forehead. You glance forwards; your fists now clenched. The shape of a gate can be seen through the moonlight, guarded by sharp angry shadows. You shudder again. It looked so far away... Your eyes stray to your battered watch for a moment. 12: 07. The witching hour, you thought with a paranoid realisation. A few minutes passed again till you decided you needed to figure out what was going on before you could truly relax. Gently, your yellowy white teeth bit down on your soft red lip, as you slowly turned around. Your green glassy eyes wildly flash around the empty field, looking for where the sound came from. Seeing nothing, a light frown graces your angular face. As a few anxious seconds pass until you call out in a quiet voice, "I-is anyone there?" You instantly regretfully speaking, subconsciously knowing something dark would happen next. A sinister whisper echoes all around you, repeating the same incoherent sentence fast and furiously. You back away, not noticing the sly thorn plant behind you. You trip, falling backwards into the menacing beast. The whispers get louder and faster, coming towards you. Blood pricks your skin as the thorns attack, and you close your eyes, fright clear. The branches wrap around you, slithering over your pale white skin as you suppress a loud howl. As you lay there a dark figure looms over you. It opens it's mouth, a low growl escaping it's blood red lips. You stay silent, and so does the night. The only think you could hear now was your rapid heartbeat. You open your mouth to scream, but a clothe presses against it forcefully. In a few seconds your out cold. -*-*-*-*- There will be a little bit before the chosen choice performs in the next chapter if you get confused. Sorry it's a bit odd so far. Thanks for reading! -*-*-*-*- When you wake up, do you: A: Close your eyes and pretend to be dead? B: Explore the room? C: Slip out of the accidentally ajar door, and follow the "man"?
Amazing update.Just be careful with your tenses, because you switched to past a few times. I pick B then C, because there might be a knife or something that could be used to kill the man. If I can only pick one, then I choose C.
Okay, sorry about that. It may happen a little in future updates but I'll try not too. I'm useless with tense. Thanks! A- 1 B- 0 C- 1
