  1. Hey guys . Shannon here. I am writing the sequel to Pressured, Amended! Check that our if you haven't already! I got the idea of this story this morning when I woke up and I wrote the first update! I told Katie I would write a pedophilia story, so I guess this is sort of one . It's highly dramatic and yes, it's romance . That seems to be the favorite around here . Tell me if you want your name in the story; I'll find a place for you somewhere . Anyway, here we go . Thanks for reading .

    ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

I wake up screaming to the same nightmare. My parents don't come and console me or comfort me, because this happens every night and now, this is normal to them. I take small breaths and finally one huge one, trying to forget about the dream. I know forgetting never works, because sometimes, I find myself drifting into space just thinking about it. I can't help what's happened in the past.

I usually wake up and try not to fall asleep again. I fear dreaming about the same horrible event. I check my clock, 4:08 AM, there's no point in sleeping again. I get out of my bed and change into a quick dry tank top and track shorts. Ever since that thing happened, I started to go on runs, to calm myself down. I put on my neon yellow running shoes and grab my iPhone and headphones.

I run to beach and usually run right next to the water. The air is still crisp and cool, and the sky is dark and light. The temperature will change in several hours, because after all, it is summer, well, the near end of the summer. School starts in one week and I don't think I can deal with coming back. Ever since the incident in February, my mother homeschooled me because I just couldn't go back to school. The memories in school and our friends, would just make me more depressed. I run faster to forget about the incident. My legs are on fire, but I don't stop. I can't, it hurts too much.

    Flashback

"Shit man, it's late! Good thing
my parents aren't home from their gala," I hear my brother yells out to someone outside.

"Tyler! It's so late! What are you doing up?" I ask.

"I should ask the same to you, midget," he says messing up my hair.

"I'm not that short! And I'm watching Blue Exorcist!" I point to the TV screen on the wall.

"Another stupid anime? When will you learn, Terissa? Guys don't dig that!" my brother laughs.

I blush beet red as his friend walks in.

"My man! What took you so long?" Ty asks.

"It's hard to parallel park the frigging car when you're a little tipse," the boy says.

"You were drinking again?! Not just that, drinking and driving?! What the hell, Ty!" I yell.

"What the hell do you know? You're only a wittle freshman," he babies me, "besides, he drives pretty well."

I turn over and look at the tall guy hovering over me. His black hair fell over his dark, gray, twinkling eyes. His t-shirt looks like it's been like made for him to wear, a fitted navy blue, Abercrombie shirt that traces the outlines of his muscular body and dark jeans to top it off.

He looks at me, smiling, and his eyes twinkling, "Hi Terissa. I'm Oliver. I'm sorry, I won't drink and drive anymore."

He offers a small smile and looks at the TV, "I love Blue Exorcist!"

"Ugh! You two are losers! I'm sleeping!" Ty stomps up the stairs and disappears into his bedroom.

"Can I watch it with you?" Oliver asks.

"I, uhm, yeah," I stutter and then mentally punch myself in the face.

Stop embarrassing yourself, I say to myself.

Good thing I quickly turn the TV on and the show comes up right away. We don't really talk much until he sees me whimpering when we're on the second to last episode.

"What's wrong?" He moves closer to me and to comfort me.

"It's jus- so sa-ad. Why is the gra-and father do-ping that to hi-im?" I cry; my words become choppy due to my gasps.

"It's okay, Terissa," he puts his arm around me, "Rin will be fine, he's so strong."

    "He's bleeding!" I sob.

"He's strong, don't worry. He'll survive. I know it," he hugs me really tight and looks at me, his eyes twinkling.

After the last episode, I fall asleep with my head on his shoulder. He didn't let me leave his arms until the show was over. I wake up the next morning laying down on the couch, Oliver no where to be seen. I see a note attached to the blanket someone put over me:

    End of Flashback

    ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Memories like that hurt a lot. I can't forget about it. I just can't. I start to cry while running, the tears cooling my sweaty face. It's too much to bear. I blink my tears away, to prevent them from pouring out of my eyes, blurring my vision. I continue to run along the beach.

    SMACKK.

I fall on my butt into the cool sand and rub my head. My tears pour out of my eyes because I didn't focus hard enough and I see another person rubbing their head too.

"Ugh. What the hell. Can't you watch where you're going?" the boy says to me.

    "I-I'm sorry," I sniffle.

"Wait. Hey. Why are you crying?" he looks at me with hurt eyes.

"None of your business." I say.

His dark brown hair fell over his eyes too, his green eyes pierce mine, and he too, is running along the beach. He looks around my age, 16, but I don't know if he's older.

"I'm new in town, I'm-" he starts to say.

"I don't care, okay? Leave me alone." I run away from him and get back home.

    There's nothing a cold shower can't do.

  9. •••• Update ••••

"Honey, are you ready to go back to school?" my mother pats my back and kisses my forehead when I walk down the stairs the next morning.

"I'm sure. I think I'm able to handle it," I say kissing my mom's cheek.

She's been so supportive of me for the year and the times before and after the incident. She took off work to homeschool me because I didn't want to go back to school. I love her dearly.

"Have a good day, Terissa," she tells me and waves as I close the door.

I grab the keys out of my purse to unlock the door to my car. It's my mother's old, white, two seater, BMW, but I'm lucky to have such a nice car for my first car. I live in Huntington Beach, California, so the people here are rich and beautiful. I guess I'll blend in with "rich" part.

I see the "Junior's here!" parking lot and park next to a Silver Lexus. I grab my purse and head into the school. I walk in and see it all. The hallways look the same as I remember; the colorful walls and the artwork from each class cover the boring, white, walls.

When I was a freshman and sophomore, I had a group of friends I'd always hang out with, but by the end of freshman year, two have moved away, and the others transferred to private schools, since they are, rich and all. So basically, I have no friends.

I could've gone with them, but I didn't want my parents to waste their money on me. Besides, friends come and go anyway.

    Obviously.

    ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

"Here's your schedule! Your homeroom is down the hall to the right!" the cheery teacher says to me. Pre-Calc, British Literature (Brit Lit), Gym, and a free period on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays, and World History, Physics, Latin, and a free period on Tuesday and Thursdays fill up my boring schedule. Each class is around 90 minutes and lunch is around 45 minutes. Free period is always after lunch, so technically, I have free time for 135 minutes. I guess I could go to the library and study; I need to focus, no sidetracking or anything.

I walk into my homeroom and feel all the eyes on me. I see and hear all the whispers about me around the classroom. The "Damn! I haven't seen her since freshman year! She's fine!", "Isn't that Ty's sister?" and "Wasn't she dating that Oliver guy?" gossip filled the classroom. Everyone seemed to participate in this discussion, all unfamiliar faces. I probably did know them before, but I forgot, after the incident and all. I make my way to the only empty seat, in the back of the room, next to a guy with his head down. When I sit down, he doesn't even look up to say anything, so I guess he won't mind. I take my pen out to be prepared to fill out papers, health forms and emergency contact cards. Of course, I look out the window and begin to daydream again.

    Flashback

"Hello?" Oliver deep voice booms into the speaker of the phone.

"Hi, it's me, Terissa," I say slowly.

"Oh! Terissa!" he says excitedly; I feel his smile over the phone.

"So, um, I got your note," I say, "and, I'd love to come, um, with you, um, to the wedding."

"Really?! I'm sorry it's such short notice. I really wasn't going to take anyone, but when I met you..." he stops.

"Oh, well, I gotta go. You know, get ready," I say awkwardly.

"I'll pick you up at 4:05. You never want to be too early," he chuckles.

"Um. Okay. I'll see you then, bye," I hang up and take a deep breath.

I don't know what I'm getting myself into. I hardly know this guy. His name is Oliver. He likes Blue Exorcist. He dropped my brother off yesterday, tipse, and he might actually like me.

I take a long shower to clean myself up before the wedding, dry my dark brown hair, and curl it into little ringlets. I do a waterfall braid with my side bangs to look more sophisticated and brush through the ringlets to look more natural. I paint my nails silver except for the ring finger, which I paint blue to perfectly match my dress. I leave my toes in the French manicure I got a couple days ago when my mother and I had a girls night out. I never usually wear make up, but I feel it's necessary for this event. I keep it light, BB cream and light powder as the base for my skin and light silver eyeshadow with a cat eye eyeliner affect and long curled lashes. For lipstick, I wear a light pink color I always love wearing even when I'm not wearing any other make up.

I choose a blue dress I wore to a gala my father hosted last year that still happen to fit me. A halter dress sweeping down to my ankle with a slit up to my knee down my left leg. Silver rhinestones emphasize the swirly cut out pattern at the top of the dress and match perfectly with my open-toe silver heels.

"Terissa! A white limousine Hummer is here to pick you up! Wait! You're going out somewhere with Oliver? What the hell!" Ty yells from downstairs.

I walk downstairs finding him in the kitchen snacking on Nacho Cheese Doritos.

"For your information," I explain, "he invited me to a wedding."

"Damn sis! You look pretty good!" he looks at me up and down.

"Eww. You're gross. I walk out the door and feel the cool beach air hit me and made my dress and hair blow with the wind. Oliver gets out of the car looking gorgeous as ever. In a black tux and blue bow tie, he matches my dress perfectly.

I walk right up to him, and he whispers, "Hi, Riza."

"Hey Oliver," I whisper back and smile, "how did you know I was gonna wear blue?"

"It's your favorite color isn't it? I snuck a peek of your room before I left. The walls are blue and the sheets are blue and the curtains are blue, so I guessed." he smiles.

I shiver and he pulls me into the limousine. I sit on the comfy, leather seat right next to him, and run my hand across the velvety blue walls. Oliver turns on warm air immediately by pressing a couple buttons and facing the air towards me.

"I hope you're warmer now; I don't want you to catch a cold," Oliver says with his twinkling eyes.

"It's just the cool breeze. It's fine," I smile back at him, "you picked blue for the velvet too?"

"Yeah... I knew you liked blue... I just wanted you to like it," he blushes.

"You didn't have to go through all that trouble!" I say with guilt.

"I like it too. Blue's my favorite color also." he smiles.

We sit in silence for a while just looking out the window and looking at each other occasionally.

"Who's wedding are we going to, if you don't mind me asking?" I finally say.

"One of my dad's clients. I'm forced to go, but I'm glad your here," he says sweetly making my heart flutter.

"Where is it? We've been driving for a while," I ask.

"It's in Beverly Hills," he smiles like it's not a huge deal.

    Beverly Hills. Ah!

    ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

We finally arrive to the mansion the wedding is being held at. We exit the limousine like celebrities, me clutching Oliver's arm, so I don't lose him in the crowd of people. The garden is decked out beautifully with different types of roses, dahlias, and my favorite, daisies. The center stood a beautifully carved ice sculpture of a happy, engaged, couple and next to the sculpture, the three tier cake.

"This looks too fancy for me," I say blushing and holding into Oliver.

"But you're still the most beautiful one here," he smiles.

I don't say anything back because I really don't know what to say. I didn't know how to talk to guys. What am I supposed to say back? Thank you? That sounds a little weird.

We take our seats in the back near the end of the row on the outside of the aisle. I still don't know who the couple getting married is, but I'm so happy I get to go to a wedding this fancy.

    "Please stand for the bride."

We all stand up and turn our heads to the flower girls dropping red rose petals down the aisle. The bridesmaids immediately follow wearing red dresses and finally the bride. Her long dress clings to her hips slightly and creates a long trail, which drags behind her. Her veil covers her face, but I know she's smiling. Who doesn't smile on their wedding day? She finally gets to the archway, where her groom is standing, and smiles at him before the priest speaks. In the middle of the couple's wedding vows, Oliver pulls me away quickly and and unnoticeably into the banquet hall and then into a private garden with cherry blossoms.

"Oliver! What are we doing here?" I ask, surprised.

"I wanted to have the first dance with my date," he says confidently.

He takes out his iPhone and unwinds the headphones wrapped around it. I puts one gently into my ear and one into his. He drags his finger up and down looking for the perfect song and finally clicks on one. "A Thousand Years", by Christina Perri starts playing into my right ear. He puts his hands on my waist and at the same time, I wrap my arms around his neck. We start dancing slowly in circles in the beautiful garden, the cherry blossom petals blowing all over the place. This moment is just perfect. I feel my heart flutter because of Oliver; his smile, his hair, his personality, I think I'm falling for him...

"You look beautiful," he whispers into my left ear.

"You don't look so bad yourself," I whisper and smile at him.

"I'm glad I came today," I whisper and wrap my arms around his neck tighter.

"I'm glad you came. I wasn't sure if you were interested in me or not," he whispers shyly, "I am. Into you. I mean."

"I hardly know you, Oliver, but I'd like to get to know you," my small laugh comes out in short breaths.

"I'd love that." he whispers back and we continue to dance in our own little world.

    End of Flashback

    ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

"Terissa Lennox? Terissa?" my homeroom teacher's voice bellows.

    When did she get here?

    "Here!" I call quickly.

"Next time, answer right away. I don't want to call your name ten times," she scolds.

I guess I really did daydream. Those memories... I can't seem to forget about them...

    "Savannah Rodriguez," the teacher calls.

    "Present," a girl responds.

    "Preston Vermeer," the teacher says.

The boy next to me looks up, "Here," he says and glances at me quickly.

His eyes widen and I realize that I recognize him.

    The guy from the beach.

His eyes widen, "You, from the beach."

"What do you want?" I reply grumbling.

    "How's your forehead?" he asks.

"It's fine," I mumble and look down at my desk.

I look out the corner of my eye and see him staring at me with those brilliantly, green eyes.

"Stop looking at me," I growl.

I haven't gotten this much attention from a guy since, well, Oliver. I'm obviously not interested, so why won't he leave me alone? He didn't answer me back, but instead stared at me even more. I look at him through the corner of my eye while filling out my health forms and emergency contact papers.

"I see you looking at me, you know," he smirks.

My face gets red, "I was.. not looking."

"It's because I'm so attractive, right?" he laughs.

"You're not the sharpest blade of grass," I rebut and turn back to my papers.

"How feisty. You don't have to be a bitch. I'm just trying to make small talk," he says.

"Well, I don't want to talk. Leave me alone."

"What if I don't want to?" he smirks again.

"Just leave me alone!" I yell loud enough for the two rows over to hear me.

He finally turns away from me and begins filling out his cards. Phew. I finish mine off with my signature and then put my head down on the desk. I close my eyes and of course, daydream again.

    Flashback

Freshman year started a couple weeks ago. It's so great seeing Oliver every day at school. We both really like each other, but it's not official or anything. I'm sort of waiting for him to ask me, but I'm starting to get the feeling that he won't.

He drives me to school every morning, which I love, because we get to talk a lot. He would always come and walk me to my locker and homeroom, but not today.

When we got to school, he went inside to talk to someone else. I see him talking to a girl, Natalie Woods, JV cheer captain. She's a great girl, so pretty and sweet, but I can't help but get a little jealous. I turn around to walk the other way and keep my head held high like nothing ever happened.

I avoid him all day; after lunch, during free period, he seems too busy in the art room with Nat anyway. By the end of the day, my happy mood disappeared into thin air. I decide not to wait for my ride after school and walk home by myself. It's not that far anyway.

On my walk home, I see Oliver's car, a gray Audi, coming down the street. He pulls up along the curb next to me and rolls his window down.

    "Hey Riza!" he smiles cheerfully.

"Oh hey, Oliver," I say without looking at him.

"What's wrong?" he asks, his voice sounding hurt.

    "I um nothing," I lie.

    "No you're not," he says.

"Just leave me alone." I say and see his car speed away.

    ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

My family and I are in the middle of dinner when I hear the doorbell ring.

I decide to answer the door and see Natalie standing there, "What are you doing here?"

"I need to talk to you somewhere," she says with a bright smile.

"I'm in the middle of eating dinner!" I retort.

My parents and brother run to the door and to see what all the commotion was about.

"Hi Ty, Mr. and Mrs. Bennett! I'm Nat, one of her friends, do you mind if I take Terissa somewhere? We'll be back before 9, I promise," she greets and smiles.

"Of course, have fun kids," my mom looks at me.

"Thank you, Mrs. Bennett!" she says pulling me out the door.

I give my mother a look and get dragged into Nat's car.

"Where are we going?" I ask.

"I'm not supposed to tell! Oh, and you have to put this blindfold on." she says handing me a black bandanna.

"Ugh fine," I fold the bandanna and put it over my eyes.

She turns on the engine, and then we're on our way.

We get there in about 15 minutes. I take off the blindfold and recognize the place clearly. Patterson Park, what are we doing here?

"I'm requested to give you the first note," she says handing me a black piece of folded paper, "you'll find the others in the park. There are nine more to find. They're pretty easy to spot considering how dark it is; they won't be folded up like this. Follow the path and you'll find something in the end. Good luck!"

"Oh um, thanks," I tell her before walking away to open up the first note:

What is this? Song lyrics? They should be easy to find, I guess. It's painted in bright green and they aren't folded! Nine more to go.

I walk around hopelessly finding the next note until I see glowing green stuck to a nearby tree:

This is so cute... One of my favorite songs. Two down, eight to go.

I go on finding each note at different locations of the park.

On a bench near the tree...

On the water fountain next to the bench...

On a flag post in proximity of the water fountain...

Ick! Not exactly my favorite artists.. but it's still a cute song...

On a charcoal grill near the flag post...

On a picnic table where the barbecue is...

    On another tree...

On the fence gate leading to the center of the park, the beautiful fountain.

    Oh my... This song...

I open the fence gate and see Oliver sitting on the side of the fountain, the water shooting into all directions and the lights illuminating. I see him smile at me holding all the black pieces of paper. The last note is in his hand, not written in neon green, but written in my favorite color, blue.

I laugh happily at his last song choice knowing what was going to happen. I walk closer to him as he stands up.

"Will you be my girlfriend, Riza?" he whispers.

I hug him and whisper into his ear, "Yes."

    End of Flashback

"Wake up, will you? The bell rang and you're still daydreaming. You do that a lot," Preston slaps my arm really hard.

"Ow. That actually hurt, asshole," I say angrily and walk away from him.

Ugh. It's only the first day and I'm already trying to avoid someone.

Wish me luck on this school year.
