Guardians of the Flame Chapter 1: The Beginning She looked at me in fear as I crept closer to her with a sinister look on my face. "No, please don't hurt me, my 3 month old daughter needs me! Please let me go free," she cried as she stumbled down. I raised my foot and kicked her in the stomach, making her cough up blood. She looked at me in fear. "Why would you do this?" she yelled at me. A grin appeared on my face as I grabbed a knife that was on the counter in the kitchen. She tried standing up but I grabbed her hair, pushing her back down and holding the knife to her neck. I leaned down, preparing for the kill when suddenly I heard a baby cry. I got up, letting her go, then waited for her to get up before stabbing her in her neck. I watched in amusement as she grabbed a towel to try to stop the bleeding before collapsing on the floor lifelessly. I turned around when I heard footsteps approaching. I smiled as she came in holding the baby girl. "Now little brother, why don't you kill this baby and show me that you truly are ready to take revenge on those people who humiliated you and murdered our family." She grabbed the knife, taking it out of the woman's neck and handing it to me. I held the knife tightly about to kill the baby when suddenly she started crying, making me wince once. "Why did you stop?" my sister yelled, slapping me. I swung the knife and slashed her on her face. She looked at me with anger, putting the baby down on the counter. "I will kill you for that!" she screamed, about to strike, but I grabbed her hand and stabbed her on her stomach. "Why brother, why would you turn on your own sister, I saved you from being killed," she said, tears on her face. I pointed at the crying baby. "You need to start talking god dammit." She yelled before falling on the ground lifelessly. I stared at the baby before I started to walk away, but the cries kept me at bay and I wasn't able to leave her behind. I picked her up then started walking to the front door. "Giatí den anoígei skotó̱sei éna koritsáki?" I kept on walking, ignoring the sirens of police cars approaching.
