Author's Note; Hi guys! Been a while since I posted a story on here... And I know that there are a few royal one's going around but I thought it might be fun! This story isnt based on a real life story and i have also made all the country's and people up! Anywayy... Hope you enjoy! ~~~~~~~~~~••••~~~~~~•••~~~~~~ I quietly took a seat in the oversized chair that was over looking the intricately detailed grand table in front of me, with my mother sitting directly opposite me and my father at the head of the table. I looked down at the floral table cloth that had neatly been laid out and sitting on top was a variety of cutlery and plates. Soon enough the waiter brought over a plate of food, still not a word spoken between us all. It was always like this at dinner. Very rarely a word was said, and if it was, it was most likely a waiter. My mother then cleared her throat and finally broke the silence with my father looking at her out the corner of his eye. "Darling. We have something to tell you." She looked more worried than normal, more concerned, more.. Guilty. "What is it mother?" I looked between them both with worry and concern. Never before had this happened. "I.. Well.. Me and your father have found you an ideal husband." She forced out a smile, I could tell it was fake. "Husband!? Mother I have just turned 18!" A look of shock crossed my face, and a look of horror... "To whom!?" Still forcing out a grin she set down her fork ad looked directly at me. "Prince Lance of the Maki Islands" I took a deep sigh and tried to contain my anger. "Bu.. But!.." "It is your duty girl" My father interrupted. "It is best for the people and for us." He gave me an evil look, I felt like I had to. I took another deep sigh. "If it is for the duty of my people..." I looked between them both with a little bit of hope left, that maybe my mother would protest.. But nothing happened. "I will do it" I looked down at my plate in disappointment. My father sat back in his chair and picked up his fork. " Good. Queen Eleanor wants to meet up with us tomorrow to make an alliance between us. " My mouth dropped in horror. Of all people?! Queen Eleanor!? "Queen Eleanor!? Queen Eleanor!? Do you mean the Queen who we went to war with just a few years ago, who beheaded our people, our family!?" My father looked at me in disgust. "Don't be stupid girl. You can't marry a prince and not have an alliance with their Island. Not now not ever. And if we make an alliance with them then we will have a bigger army, and take over more islands, and have more power." He said this like it was a natural thing I also looked at him in disgust. With my mother just sitting there not helping. "See.. With you father, it's all about the power and the money. Never about the people. " I looked away from him and excused myself from the table. "Melissa! Come back here now! This is no way for a Princess to behave!!" He shouted back at me.. And then gave a deep sigh. I continued to walk off down the echoey corridors ignoring everyone that bowed to me. I couldn't believe this. It wasn't right.
Author's Notee; Sorry it's only a short one! Longer one should be coming out soon! __________________________ ***Melissa's POV*** I could hear father calling, I knew it wasn't a way for a princess to act. But what does he really expect? Me to marry at the age of 18 and to make matters worse, to the son of the person that killed our people! It infuriates me.. I wandered around the castle, with my long blonde hair cascading neatly down my back and my small tiara sable on the top of my head. I decided to take a rest on a small sofa outside of the main ball room, along with a little vase of flowers next to it. I stared at the flowers, picking and choosing the ones I liked best, the ones I would like for my 'forced' wedding.. "Princess Mel" a deep voice chuckled behind me. I turned around to see Andrew. Andrew was one of the best servants in the whole kingdom. And lucky he was assigned me most of the time. I giggled and stood up slowly, patting any dust off my long gown. " Andrew, how many times have I asked you to just call me Mel? " I smiled and stared into his chestnut eyes. "At least one more time Princess" He gave me a wink and then sat down next to me. I haven't noticed that I was still looking miserable... I kept staring at the little vase of flowers.. Pretending to hate every single one of them. "Melissa, are you ok?" A look of concern crossed Andrews face. " Come on, lets go on a little walk and tell me what's happened.." And with that he dragged me to the Royal Garden. Andrew knew me so well, we grew up together would be the main reason why.. But he understood me like nobody else did. We walked around the rose beds for a bit speaking about what happened with Mother, Father and Marriage.. * The sun set and we both started to make our way back to the castle doors.. BANGG!! (). Next thing I know there is a bow stuck into hedge in front of me.. I looked at Andrew in fright and he looked start back at me. "Mel, run to your room! Quickly!!" Andrew shouted in my face and then ran off in the direction the bow was coming from! "BUT WHAT ABOUT YOU!?!?" I screamed with tears filling up in my eyes. "GO! " He shouted as he disappeared into the woods.. I quickly ran inside with tears rolling down my cheeks trying to find a guard.. _______________________ Hope you liked it! I don't know what sound a bow makes when it lands so I put bang! I don't know weather to hard in some super natural stuff or just keep it human? What do you think? Thanks guys!

Update! ____________________ ***Andrew's POV*** "GO!!" I shouted back at the Princess... I may not be a guard, but she still means something to me.. I ran to where the arrow came from, it was the forest that cut off quite close to the Royal Gardens.. Whoever did that must of had a lot of practise.. I looked around for any signs of movement.. But nothing.. No footprints no marks.. Just.. Nothing! "W.. Where?" I mumbled to myself.. I soon have up and started making my way back to the castle where I was greeted by Melissa. "Princess I told you to go inside to safety" I looked at her with disappointment and a bit of anger.. "And I told you to start calling me Mel" she looked very smug at me. " Princess I am being very serious.. What if that bow had shot again?" I took a step towards her.. " But it didn't " she know looked very serious.. "You don't get it do you? What if it had!? I would be responsible and I would get beheaded because of YOU!" I was very angry at this point.. But, I didn't mean to say all that. Especially to a princess!! "Yes, I agree.." She said quite quietly.. "Everything's my fault isn't it? Everything?" She started getting louder at this point.. "No.. I.." "Just, go and do your job.." She shook her head and walked off. "But, Mel!" She turned around like a dart.. "It's Princess Melissa, to you.." She looked at me up and down and stormed off into the castle with maids galloping after her.. I sighed a deep sigh.. Why did I do that? _________________ Sorry it was quite short... But I was wondering what other POV's would you like to see on here? Love Tropical
