I've gotten exceptionally bored within the last hour or so. Sooo I decided to share with you a catfish story. Keep in mind that I'm disguising names and leaving out personal details for reasons that are pretty obvious. I also won't be proof reading this I'd checking my spelling. So sorry for any mistakes in advance. Anywho... Here it is. ______________________________ I met a girl named "Sally" about 2 years ago on this game. I know her age (16) where she lives(state not city), what she looks like, technically everything about her. I've seen numerous pics of her with her mom, friends, family members and just by herself. Well she met a guy about 7 months ago. I've met him, he's met me. He looked legit and we've all even had a group chat on a certain app once. Everything was perfect! They were even making plans to meet up with each other in rl! Well 3 weeks before he was supposed to fly over to her town her mother had a heart attack! >:0 So they had to reschedule the trip until her mom was better. He didn't think anything about it. Everyday that went by he fell deeper in love. I mean you could just tell he was in love. Even though it was an online relationship. Well finally 3 months later they scheduled to meet up at a store in her home town. I was personally soooo jelly of their relationship!! Anywho.. Once again, something happened so she couldn't go see him. /).- Finally he got tired of it and he just said maybe they could just video chat until they could meet. Every time he asked she had an excuse. "My camera isn't working." Was her usual lie. After another month of denied chat requests, videos and unedited pictures he was irritated. Like almost to the point of giving up. So he decided to do a little bit of research.. He pm'd me one day and started asking me if I've seen her in person, chatted with her on camera, called her on the phone, ect. After I told him no to everything I asked him why. He explained to me his suspensions about her. After a week of talking him and I grew really close and I was starting to feel his pain. >.< Every denied chat broke his heart a little bit more and more. Soon I started getting pissed myself. He was putting in so much time and effort and she was just blowing her off! So I finally I told her and needed to either meet up with this guy or video chat with him. Of course, I got a bunch of excuses. Whatever. Two weeks later I get a message from "John" and he was pissed off. (Get ready people. Shit is about to get serious.) Apparently he made a fake account on a certain third party app (The one where you can talk, type and video chat) Well he already had her info so he video called that account and someone answered. I'm going to tell you in exact words what he described her to look like. "A huge 54 year old woman with squinty eyes, wrinkles, and close to no teeth." I was like.. Lolwut? After she found out that was "John" who called her she explained everything to him. She was exactly 49, she had 2 kids, and a 3 grandchildren. Apparently she had been giving him pictures of her 16 year old granddaughter! _______________________________ How fucked up is that!! I just felt like I should share this for some reason. Mainly so people would hopefully become a bit more aware of the world around them. There are liars, pedophiles, registered child molesters, underaged children and so much more. Honestly I could write a book about it but I'd just be wasting my time. I'm not saying you shouldn't have online relationships, I'm just saying you should make sure you know who you're talking to is real! Anyways, hope you liked the story. Peace skis.
That's not all relationships I had one with a great guy who I met through an online game but things just didn't work out.
That one third party app starting with K has a cool feature where someone can take a picture and it shows you it was taken right then and there and wasn't gotten from the phones gallery, helps and no excuses not to use that.
When he asked for an "unedited pic" he meant one on that K app that was taken from her camera right then. And she said her camera was broken.
It's funny how most of the time it's women who catfish.....and it's easy to tell if pictures are fake, simply use a reverse google search lol As with age, I beat a lot who say they're in their teens are really 40 plus year olds. Sadly, people can hide behind a screen and act however they want. That's the danger of the online society, and it will only get worse as time goes by.
