  1. Hi, everybody! I'm Yuuki, and some of you may have seen me in roleplays. This is my first time posting a story here. I'm sorry if it's not up to your standard. I accept constructive criticism, not flames, thank you.

This story was beta read by Melancholy.
    =================================
The bell of the shop rings as the door opens and someone walked in the shop. The girl at the counter started saying the phrase she was so used to saying before even looking up. "Welcome to Heavenly Tunes, how may I hel-" Before she could finish, she looked up and saw the man. Her eyes landed on a shiny black pin that looked like a quaver note. She recognised it instantly and bowed while stuttering. "G-good morning, Sir." She had high respect for the people who earned metal pins.

The pins were recognised throughout the world from a school that existed in every big country. Students who lived in countries without one would travel all the way to one. The school's name? Armelle Academy of the Arts.

Normal people would wonder, why a musical note, when the Academy was for Arts in general? The answer is because the school had a 90% success rate in creating musicians. To even be accepted into the school was something. To be chosen was a miracle. They had to see potential in you.

The man in front of her cleared his throat, drawing her out of her shock. "Miss Akame Taki, you have been chosen to attend Triple A, also known as Armelle Academy of the Arts in Japan with a full scholarship into the musical department. Everything has been arranged for you. You will leave tomorrow at seven in the morning. Someone will come to pick you up."

He left after saying that, leaving Akame to process it in her brain. After a few seconds, she shouted in realisation.

    "WHAAAAT?!"

    Chapter 1
    =============================
    Akame POV

The day went by in a flash and before I knew it, it was night. My body plopped on the bed, exhausted. Amethyst orbs stared at the ceiling. The only thing occupying my mind was what bothered me most. I was going to Triple A.

That was the school for professional prodigies. There wasn't any reason why they would choose me, I wasn't even that good. There was no money for me to even afford lessons, so I taught myself with some of the books in the shop.

My amethyst orbs continued staring, not feeling tired at all. It was probably because I was too curious. I turned on the computer to check the internet for details on the school. Words flooded the dimly lit screen and I squinted to read it. It said:

Every school in each country has three departments. The Drawing Department(DD), the Film Department(FD) and the Music Department(MD).

That was cool. There would be continuous competition between the Departments. I think the three principals encourage that.

The academy accepts students aged 5 to 19. They are sorted into three different schools. The Elementary School(ES), Middle School(MS) and High School(HS). ES is for children aged 5 to 12. MS is for children aged 13 to 16. HS is for people aged 17 to 19.

I'm 12, so Elementary School it is. It seems like a very weird system to me. Luckily, the school year is ending in April. That's just four and a half months. I hope nobody bullies me there.

School time is from 7 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon. You will attend normal lessons as well as our mass music lessons and personal music classes. Mass music lessons is for students to volunteer to perform in front of the other students. It is also used for theory lessons, if nobody wants to volunteer.

That's a nice way to know where you place in the MD without embarrassing yourself, or hurting others. In Triple A, they value people who have courage. Their mission of the school is to make every individual independent, courageous, caring, and have excellence. They do not care if you break some rules but still excel in your work, but they do not like it if you follow the rules strictly and don't learn from your mistakes, or what the teachers are teaching. Their school works differently, but I like it.

There are rankings, which are complicated. The rankings are:

    Blue diamonds
    Diamonds
    Rubies
    Sapphire
    Amethysts
    Emerald
    Aquamarine
    Yellow topaz
    Gold
    Silver
    Bronze
    Red
    Blue
    Purple
    Green
    Yellow
    White
    Black(Metal)
    Plastic

The lowest is a pin made out of plastic, and the highest is one made out of blue diamond. There will be only one person from each department who can achieve the place of yellow topaz and up. The room you are given in the dorms is according to your rank.

I leaned back into my seat and thought about what I just read. I would have to work hard to earn my rank, so I can get more space for my instruments.

The whole Music Department were in a band with many sub bands, and a student could be in more than one.

I also knew from my personal knowledge that there were rarely any blue diamonds. There were ones from the FD and DD, but not the MD. There haven't been anyone for a few years now.

Something else I heard was that the yellow topaz and up were practically treated like royalties. They had many privileges. I dream to be one of them.

I realised after a while that I had to leave my shop alone and live in the dorms.

Heavenly Tunes was a shop that my late grandmother created. I remember it being my favourite place growing up. I would always come here and learn how to play the instruments, Grandmother Lisa would teach me how to. She would always give me an instrument I knew how to play on some of my birthdays.

When she went, she gave it to me and my brother. I couldn't leave the shop. I couldn't even survive a day without it and slept one level above the shop. I started to worry. I stood and walked to a bench beside the window and stared up at the moon, hoping that my Grandmother would help me through this. A gust of wind blew into the room, lifting my lilac coloured hair. My eyes closed and I felt Grandmother Lisa comforting me as I drifted off to sleep, a single tear glistening on my face.

(A/N: If you're wondering why a 12 year old can have a shop, her older brother is the one listed to own the shop, but he does nothing, so she is the one who keeps the shop running. Without her, it would die.)

    Chapter 2
    =============================
    Akame POV
My eyes shot open and I stared at the ceiling. They instantly closed as the light from the morning sun shone through the window into them. I grabbed the pillow from under my head and covered my face with it, trying to block the horrible thing called sunlight from my shiny jewels.

I immediately shot up when I realised the time and day and rushed to get ready. Having been told that everything would be arranged from me, I inferred from that that I did not have to prepare anything other than the day's clothes. After bathing to freshen up, the uniform that consisted of a black blazer, a red skirt, a red tie and a white T-shirt hugged my body. The doorbell rang. This time, the man from before and nine students were there.

The oldest out of all of them spoke up. "Good morning, I'm Dai Daniel Sabre. I'm 17, the boss of our group, and not to mention single." He has reddish orange hair and light blue eyes. I thought he looked like he had a pumpkin on his head.

"Ignore him. He's a playboy at heart. Hi, my name is Mamoru Macy Verexanthus. I'm the same age as you and from the same department as you, so I'll be your buddy in school. If you have any questions, you can ask me. Nice to meet you." Mamoru, who looked my age spoke. The youngest of the group.

Mamoru was half a head taller than me, with crimson eyes and silver hair that he wore in an untidy way. The type who got girls without trying. He probably had a fan club but thought they were a nuisance.

"I'm the Tiara Jean. I'm 13, too." She looked down at me like some sort of royal looking at a peasant. She wore high heels and expensive clothes like she was going to a award show. Heavy make up 'decorated' her face and I tried not to gag in disgust. She clung onto Mamoru like he was her property.

"I'm Gemma Gennete Faylinn. Mamoru is right, ignore that idiot."

"Blythe Bacchus Faylinn, 17. Her twin."

The twins were identical, if not for their gender. They were blonde and of average height. The girl had long hair and the guy had messy hair, both with blue eyes. They both did a peace sign.

"Haley Hoshi Yome, 13." A girl with short black hair said with an expressionless face. She had nice dark green eyes. I didn't judge, she might be really sad inside.

"Ren Ryder Nether, 14." A tall red head said, doing a two finger salute. His eyed shone a golden yellow colour.

"Leah Larissa Knotes, 16." Leah had dark blue curls with equally as blue, if not darker, eyes. She smiled and waved hello.

"Sayako Kazekume, 14." The cute girl has long brunette hair with pink streaks. Her eyes glowed a honey amber colour and was quite pale. She seemed shy so I flashed my brightest smile at her to assure her.

"Akame Arix Taki, nice to meet you all!" I said happily.

    Normal POV
Akame thought they were friendly, and she could be great friends with them. They stepped aside and gestured to the black limousine, inviting Akame to sit in it. The man who had told her of her transfer to Triple A opened the door for the eight and they got in.

Akame could not catch up with what we going on, it was going so fast. She wasn't surprised about the limousine, though. Triple A makes money out of selling students' paintings, films and music. Of course, the students get most of their own.

In the limo, Mamoru told Akame about what the Triple A kept secret from the public. They had their own currency called Sparks to be spent in the small little city filled with shops that sell daily necessities and other things we need. A hundred sparks was equivalent to one American dollar.

Akame smiled, knowing how she'll be able to cope living there. She bounced up and down, not being able to contain her excitement. Everbody watched her with amusement. It was a Thursday, so her lessons start on Friday.

She soon get tired and drifted off to sleep. The last thing she saw was a pin made out of a blue diamond and confusion filled her head.

    Akame POV
I woke up, once again, on the same day. I looked around and was surprised to be in a bright room. My body rested on a comfy couch. Turning my head, I sensed another presence in the room.

Amethysts met rubies and the events of the past 48 hours returned to me.

"Took you long enough to wake up. I was actually going to reenact Sleeping Beauty here, though, the beauty isn't here," Mamoru remarked, smirking.

I instantly blushed. "You jerk!" I stuck my tongue out at him. Suddenly, I heard a door behind me open and a few pairs of feet walk in.

"He carried you here, you know," a slightly familiar voice spoke.

I turned around to see who it was.
