American Independence Day..

  1. After visiting places like Valley Forge and watching the Gettysburg reenactment..as well as watching the fireworks over the water in Pennsylvania.. I am amazed.

Some people will complain constantly about their lives when soldiers who had so much more to live for, (as young as 11 in the continental army), laid down their lives so we can be where we are today.

Take a look around you, Americans..
    What do you see?
Everything you are looking at is hard work. Every little piece in this world has history.

America has earned their independence through hard fought wars..and every citizen has earned their rights through war..

Whether it be independence, freedom, righteousness, pride, patriotism, or stupidity.. We all unite under one flag.

This Flag has been our symbol for as long as we have been a union.

    We are united.
    We are forever.

American independence is a wonderful thing.
Be thankful for the French, and be thankful for Benjamin Franklin, America.

Without the French and Benjamin Franklin's help, we would have lost the war.

    We would not be free.
You would be speaking the King's English.
(not that there is anything wrong with it.)

    God Bless us,
    God Bless US,
    God Bless this world.

    Happy Independence Day.
    Happy Birthday, America.

  2. I like that you called it American Independence Day. People forget that lots of other countries fought for independence.

  3. God bless

  4. Liska, I know plenty of others have fought or are still fighting for their freedom and independence. It is admirable.

  5. Only if this was on reddit .

Many people neither realize the sacrifices made, nor the original foundations and ideals this country was built upon.

Not just another excuse to get drunk and party. More like a time to remember and say cheers.

  6. Fantastic thread! God Bless

  7. Wonderful thread! As we remember those true patriots that fought for our independence lets not forget those patriots fighting even now to keep our independence! MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS AMERICA!

  8. As an American Army vet this day will always be held true to my heart. As I go day to day in my life I notice people have forgotten what has been given to make this truly free. I am truly grateful for this holiday and feel people should take the time to understand what it really means. At the same time we should honor all vets rather it be past present every day of the year instead of this July 4th only. Not saying everyone doesn't but there are many out there that just use this day as an excuse just to party.

    Just my 2 cents,

  11. Wonderful thread!!!
Our independence, rights, and freedoms are a truly unique and should not be taken for granted. And for all those who have fought for and with us, we should be forever grateful.

  12. Thank you to all the soldiers risking their lives every day to protect our freedom... we take so much for granted, but think about it without our troops where would we be??
