Ok, so I went to reply to CJS's fibromyalgia thread and received a prompt to login with my username and password, has that happened to anyone before? I've never seen it. I can't find the thread anymore (although I literally just saw it, I'm not THAT drunk), but my reply to Logan is: I would suggest that she is perhaps suffering from depression. The symptoms you mention would fit with that.
I was typing a reply and it said Im not allowed to read the forum or something along those lines, now I can't find it But my response pretty much agrees with your train of thought; maybe it would be helpful to to talk to her and offer that extra support, "I understand how it can be frustrating for you to have to take on extra chores, especially if you believe she doesn't really have the condition. I can't tell you if she has it or not-only she and her doctor would know for sure-all I can tell you is that it is a real condition that affects both men and women, although it seems to affect women more than men. Reading this from my pov as a mom, I would be really hurt if I was in a lot of pain and my son thought I was faking I'm not judging because I can see how it's stressful for you, but perhaps it would be a good idea to talk to your mom, ask her about the condition and if there's anything you can do to help. This condition can also be brought on by psychological reasons (as I read), so maybe feeling like she has that extra emotional support may help." That was my response.
