"Oh my god....this is perfect. Amber! Come here, look!" Zoey McCollum said excitedly to her best friend. Amber rolled her eyes, but turned and walked over to her bed anyway, flopping down on it with an exasperated sigh. Zoey pushed the magazine she was reading over to Amber. Pointing at a picture, she squealed, "This is the one! I know it, it's perfect!" "Zoey, this is the third dress in five minutes that you've called your 'perfect prom dress'", Amber said, shooting Zoey an irritated look before burying her head in a pillow. "Oh shut up!" Zoey said, giving Amber a playful shove with her foot. "I mean it this time! Look at it. That color goes perfectly with my skin tone!" Amber groaned and rolled over to peer at the magazine. Zoey was right: the dress's creamy silk color would go perfectly with her pale skin and dark red hair. "Then get it", Amber mumbled as she rolled back over onto her stomach. "But this one would be great too," Zoey protested, pointing to a one-shouldered purple dress on the next page. "I can't decide," she whined. "Oh my god, Zoey, you've been doing this for 2 hours! Pick one already!" Amber, who had selected her prom dress online an hour and a half ago, shouted frustratedly. "Ugh I wish my mom was here. She was always really good at this stuff," Zoey said, pushing the magazine away. Zoey's parents had been killed 2 years ago. Amber sighed and sat up, looking at the magazine again. "She would've picked the cream one. Your mom hated purple." Zoey raised her head. "Yeah, I guess you're right. I'll go with that one then", she said hesitantly. As Zoey flipped through the catalog for the order form, Amber sighed with relief, glad to be done with that.
