Equality will never exist. Racism will never end. Some people will always be ugly, its life bro. Roll with it!
just a couple thoughts going on in my head. Zack good post, I probably already know the answer but I do want to ask you specifically, what religion do you subscribe to. (ie god controls everything, everthing is predestined) that type of statement has as always felt like a cop out to me. :To Foot, good to hear a religious man thinking for himself.... personally I wouldn't say that there are blatant lies in the Bible, (too many people believe in it for it to be untrue, however that is a paradox in itself. devotion, faith, belief, this type of thing only creates truth from your perspective) and this brings me around to my original thought, equality doesn't exist it's all about perspective. How you perceive people to be treated, how you perceive peoples intelligence. Equality is a great thing to strive for, but make no mistake it does not exist. I hope this makes sense I haven't had enough sleep goodnight.......
Everyone has equal chances to make an impact in this world. Or to be 'somebody' whether you're poor or rich. etc. Just depends on how you take advantage of those opportunities. Or how you make use of what you have. Etc etc.
I mean it's clearly obvious that people who come from wealth, fame, and all that stuff are going to make it farther than your average person working at dunkin donuts to support their children. BUT!!! some of those wealthy famous people came from nothing and pushed them self from fame! so if you sit on your behind complaining about equal rights and all that crap its just more time your waisting your shot to be something more. You are who you make yourself.
I control how fat I am.... I work out so I don't get fat. When I cut back... I put weight on. (Wee bit that struck me there lol) Equality is just treating everyone with dignity and respect irrespective of there differences inherited or lifestyle choices.
Actually if we remove gods and deities from this and look at this from a purely scientific way it could be defined as natural selection. Natural selection is when the genes of a certain being is slightly modified from the general species, in a human's case this could be having a fast metabolism or being smarter. The process of natural selection was put in place to make a species become more defined and evolve but now as we humans can change the world to suit us this has become obsolete. In conclusion there is so such thing as equality.
