Since this is a 17+ app, I presumed that most of the people here are about to go to college, in college or has already graduated from college. I'll be doing a short talk to kids tomorrow regarding "The Benefits of Going to College." As you can see, I'm not prepared yet. So, I hope I can get your insights about college. Was it beneficial? Did it make life more different than before? Or was it something regretful to take? All opinions are welcomed! But please, no hate. Just
College Isn't for everyone but its an experience that you'll never forget!! I had my ups and downs in college but I'll never change anything about it. If you do go to college take full advantage. Network to your fullest potential because the economy we live in doesn't guarantee jobs to college graduates. Jobs are hard to come by. Personally I say make great connections, party it up and be productive. You can't go wrong.
Well, look around for the job you want, the pay you want, look around and see which jobs in that area pays the way, see how much the pay ranges whether or not you have a college education.
Well I'm only in my first year of college. And as you've heard, you can get a lot of things during and after college. I guess all I have to say is that either way, your experience in college will be one of the best experiences you'll have in your life.
As someone has said before it's not for everyone and that's true, but if you want to go into a specific line of work then it's probarly important that you do go. My bit of advice for everyone is to work hard and don't go getting drunk every other night just because all your friends are.
College is so have advantages in life if u can finish ur college study it can get u a good job but make sure that ur course must be prefered by u not by anyone make sure u love it
iNeedFood, I got drunk EVERY night and still went to class and maintained a 3.6gpa!! Trust me, it's possible. You just have to know how to balance them.
I only mentioned that because I have a few mates who go to clubs every night, piss about and don't end up bothering to come to college most days.
I think there are two extreme types in college, those that live on campus and party all the time and those that live off campus and work almost full time while going to school full time. The partiers usually have a blast, make friends and share experiences that they'll remember forever, whereas those that work themselves to death, usually get a great job and end up financially independent and secure quickly, but regret all that they missed. I guess it depends on which opportunity is available to the person.
I chose to not go to college due to the field I'm in does not require it and I'm better off than a lot offriends who chose to go so if you choose to slack off in college don't expect that college degree to put u ahead cause job experience still reigns supreme in my book
