  1. Preface:

I knew how it all happened, and I also knew I had nothing to do with it. People just assumed that because we were so close, I had killed her. They thought that I did it whilst I was at her house. They were wrong. So very wrong.
Everything seemed to go downhill from there; my friends, even my family turned on me.

    Chapter One

I crept down the narrow staircase, tired from my day out yesterday. Everything was so blurry, like I had been hit in the eye. I blinked several times, and things became better. It was clear to me now that I was in the kitchen, standing in front of the fridge. I opened the door, and reached for the semi-skimmed milk that was next to the whole milk. I noticed a note attached to them small, green-topped bottle that was in my pale hand. I took it off, and began to read the neat hand.

You have three hours to leave. I am waiting.

I was scared out of my skin, and I quickly flipped the note over. My eyes widened in irritation at the other message.

Sorry love, I was only joking. Gone to Florida to see your father. Be back soon. ~Mom.

Great. She was with Dad. Devil Dad. I don't know why she would even go there, she'd just come back bruised and scarred. Yeah, I pretend to like him, but inside, when I'm with him, I'm screaming.
