Everyone is born equal. As in everyone is born able to make the decisons that mold their life. Be it good decisions or bad. A poor hobo isno different than someone rich, like bill gates. They are both humans that were able to make the same decisions.
No one is born equal if that was true we wouldnt of had women right movements, slavery movements and all other rights that people have had to gain over the years. And even now not everyone is equal.
Ok, I will accept that one condition that we are all born with the equality in the ability to influence our own lives. All else you say, not going to agree to.
.-. Hmm, well, we are all born under different crap. Some people are born rich, others are poor, we all look different (unless u have a twin ) some are smarter while some are idiots, others a pretty while others are not... Sure, some people will never EMBRACE the fact of equality.. They will hate being equal to another human being.... In my opinion, we all have the opportunity to do as we please.. .-. Well I'm done don't feel like typing.
I'm not considering that legal sort of equality. You can look at that, but I prefer not looking at the equality to vote or citizenship.
We're all born with equal rights, but we aren't born equally in a judgmental way. For example, a high school who abuses drugs is not equal to a successful businessman when it comes to experience, determination, and most likely respect. You gain/earn different attributes in your life, making you better than others in different aspects, depending on which attributes you contain.
We are all born equal... Society makes the differences between us. We are all born humans, therefore we are equals. Being born in a rich family from the uk doesnt make me more human than being born in a poor family in central Africa... Will I have more chances to have a college degree? Will I have more chances of having an iPhone? Will I haven the chance of living longer? Of course that being in the uk family I will have all that... But that's only what society wants us to believe being human is... Having a certain status in society doesn't makes us more than anyone else... We are born equal, we lose equality the second after we are born.
Those equal rights, do you consider them natural or institutional? If natural it contradicts any thought of whether rights can be a privilege that is earned or taken away. What fo you think?
