Chapter 7 ---------------------------—------ I looked down and mumbled an agreement, my face flushing and turning hot from the distance between us. He chuckled and lifted my chin "You shouldn't hide that beautiful face of yours, Kari." After hearing his words I found myself burning up even more, turning my head sideways. "Um.. I'll go change." I mumbled, turning my head back just in time to see him nodding. I shuffled towards the bedroom door, weakly pushing down the handle and opening the door. My eyes widened at the scene unfolding before me. Jonghyun was on top of Key, their heads turned towards me. I stared at their swollen lips and disheveled hair. Key froze, Jonghyun following right after him. I backed up and closed the door, facing the wooden wall separating me from the two members. Onew came up behind me and grabbed my hand, spinning me around and cupping by face, worry plastered on his face. "What happened? Are you in shock?" His voice escalating as his worry was. I snapped out of it and shook my head, reassuring him that I was alright. ************ As we walked through the busy streets of the Seoul night market, my mind could not stop thinking about what I saw. I started to grind my teeth as I walked, not looking where I was going. I walked right into a fish stand, toppling a few boxes over and ending up on the floor with a live fish in my hand. I shrieked and threw the fish up, getting up and running back to Onew. I facepalmed at my fail and apologized, handing some money over for the damage. I frowned and pinched my nose, continuing to walk when Onew stopped in his tracks, causing me to bump into his back. I looked up at him as he turned around. He sighed as a few strands of hair fell into his face. I reported the urge to sweep them back as Onew grabbed my hand. "What's wrong Kari. I can't stand to see you with such a rotten expression. You know you'll get wrinkles if you do that....I think you look prettiest when you're smiling..." He grinned and squeezed my hand. "Not saying that this expression is ugly. Heh. " He scratched the back of his head with his free hand and blushed. My cheeks flared with heat and turned a deep scarlet. "It's just that....this smell stinks...the raw fish smell..." Onew widened his eyes, revealing his long eyelashes and gasped. "That's seriously what you were upset about?" He sighed and I was confuzzled. He looked down then back up at me and embraced me in his long warm arms. "I'll always like you. Even if you're stinky." He chuckled and that's when I realized it. There are so many people around me that cherish me and embrace me with this feeling. It's love. In his arms, at that precise moment, it finally hit me. I had finally woken up. I hugged him back as I melted into the warm, friendly embrace. I smiled and leaned my head into his broad chest, breathing in his sweet fragrance. "I think I'll stay for a while longer." I whispered and closed my eyes. Light snowflakes, just starting to fall from the starry night sky.
