*Dear journal, it's finally my 16th birthday!!! I am sooo excited!! My Sweet 16 is all planned out. I just gotta get my dress. Nobody can ruin this day for me!- Sasha* I close my journal and lay back down on my bed. I'm finally 16. My phone vibrates with a call from Rachel R: Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear bestie, happy birthday to you! Me: Thanks Rachel!!! And before you ask, no I haven't opened any of my presents yet R: I wasn't going to ask. You turn 16 and think you can read minds. Well Sasha I'll see you soon! And expect 20 birthday punches! Me: 20?! I'm only 16!! R: 4 for good luck. Duhhh Me: you're so annoying sometimes. R: Yeah I know *starts laughing* see you soon birthday girl! Me: Bye Rachel As I toss my sidekick on the bed, I head downstairs to the kitchen. I see a note on the fridge from Mom. It reads- Happy Birthday Princess! I can't believe you're already 16. You're growing up to be such a wonderful young women. You're father will be here to pick you up at 5:30. I will give you your gift when I get home. Have a wonderful day! I love you so much! XOXO- Mom As I put the note on the counter, I sigh. Under my breath, I mutter "Thanks mom. What a great way to say Happy Birthday!"
