B-flat cornet. I was in band from 6th grade through my senior year of high school. Marching band from 10th through 12th, and honors wind ensemble and jazz ensemble in the off season. Rate: Solid 75. I got braces during my senior year, so my positive relationship with my pseudo-trumpet turned into a bloody struggle. It didn't affect marching band, but my overall band experience suffered. And I learned the "Big-Ten" one year, the "Roll-Step" the next, and then the "Big-Ten" again. Three different band directors. I do miss marching band though. It was nice.
What are those three thingies? My friend plays trumpet he just got braces and did this other sax guy they it hurts but you get used to it
Which thingies? The "Big-Ten" and "Roll-Step" are marching styles. Big-Ten is a 90-degree knee step that you land toe-to-heel to try to minimize the shock/vibrations/movement. The Roll-Step is a smooth heel-to-toe straight-line walk where you're attempt is to almost make it look like you're sliding, not walking.
I hate straight leg backwards marching I wish that my band would have done the Cavilers style of backwards marching
I wanted to be in the band in my dreams but in reality I can't read music so I got stick in the choir.
Was in the Hawaii All State Marching Band for the Rose Bowl parade back in 09 I think, the only part that sucked was my reed broke after half an hour. I played the alto sax, BTW. We also did a few performances which I don't remember too well.
