Everything is pointless so why do people bother with anything? Everything will just end in being dead, so why bother trying to do anything? First you are going to spend a 1/3 of your life learning how to work. Then the rest of your life you will be working your butt off to try and get money and then you will die. But what was the purpose of trying to get all this money if you are going to die anyway? This money, a huge goal everyone has wont make a difference because one way or another everyone will end up the same. Dead. They will be gone and nothing else will matter so why try so hard or try at all for anything at all if you will just end up dying. Everyone will. Every single person will have the exact same ending. They will die and then their body will decompose.
Stupid society. I've thought and re-thought this question several times per year since 11. That's my conclusion and why others deem me as "lazy". Discipline is just forcing conformity and obedience.
But why? The goal of life is death. That is the ultimate goal. We will all end up like this. Why stretch out the journey to your ultimate goal?
The goal is not to die. The goal is to do something worthwhile in your time that you are here. This has nothing to do with religion. .-.
If the goal is to die, why not die happy, or feeling accomplished in life? Instead of wasting away, and letting death come upon you quicker as you slump around and be a lazy mofo. Honestly I don't think death is the ultimate life goal. I believe it is to make something of yourself, whether other people know it or not. To do something you love, or that makes you happy. The true goal is to strive, and accomplish something you want to do in this life that has an end. I don't know what for sure is after death, but if we all come back either as another being on this world, or in another place we like to call "Heaven". I think that this life we get if coming back is true, is to prepare us, and to give us knowledge and strength for what is to come after death. So please don't waste it, whether you believe what I believe or not.
But what would be the point of accomplishing anything? You may have it for a little while but sooner or later it will all be gone. No matter what you accomplish. I am not saying that everyone shod be lazy, but why, what is the reason to strive for anything if you will just end up dead and loosing absolutely everything? And as you said, no one knows whats after death, for all you know it can be a big, fat, juicy nothing. And you are alive for no reason at all for some period of time and you will just end up gone, and everything will be as if you had never existed.
