  1. I know this idea has been used recently but this is completely different.

Welcome to Author News and Reviews with Shana Alana! I'll be doing stories and I'll be wanting two others to help me out, one for more stories, one for role plays.

I rate 1-10; 1 being the worst, 10 being the best. I give summaries and my own personal note about the story in the end. And here we begin:

    Clock's Ticking
    By: -Magical_Rani4-
Summary: Midnight had a rough childhood. Her mother: gone, her dad: rehab, and her aunt: abusive. She ran away and now, years later, she realizes she has only seven hours to live. The clock ticks quickly and as the time flies, Midnight remembers what might have caused her to lose her life.
    Rating: 9.5
P/N: This story is an amazing thriller/horror story. It had me hooked by the third sentence. Rani, it's amazing how you make the flashbacks flow and work with the situation. Wonderful, wonderful job.

    Generational Love
    By: -MIRAI_Shannonigans-
Summary: The teenager MacKenzie Fosser seems to have a wonderful life. She has a nice car, good life, and a boyfriend that seems to love her deeply about. But when she finds out her boyfriend is cheating on her, all things up in her life come down and crush her world.
    Rating: 9
P/N: This story has a great beginning and is amazingly detailed. I feel like I can actually visualize where the story is.

    The shortest horror story ever
    By: _KiraLuvsDinosaurs_
Summary: Manon Kingsley Montgomery is telling her life, beginning at her earliest memories. This autobiography talks about her life and how she survives being different in a world of the prejudice.
    Rating: 9.5
P/N: Kira, I think this will be a fascinating story and I think it's a great that you have decided to allow us to know about how you survive the world we live in.

    And now Quotes and Photos!

Hunger Games Edition! So, this will be completely nerdy.

"We just saw Finnick Odair in his underwear." - Boggs; Mockingjay

Remember, we're madly in love so it's alright to kiss me anytime you feel like it." - Peeta; The Hunger Games

"That if desperate times call for desperate measures, then I am free to act as desperately as I wish." Katniss; Catching Fire

    And for the photos:

Warning! The first photo is sad for those who are fans of the Katniss and Peeta couple. To be honest, I cried.

    Finally, book and movie news:

Who hasn't read the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series? Well, today I found out that Clarisse La Rue, daughter of Ares, is going to be played by Leven Rambin. If you don't know who she is, she played Glimmer in The Hunger Games movie.  It will be in theaters August 16 this year! Woo-hoo!

And now to take some time for help:

    Help Wanted

To help with the reviews of stories and role plays, I am looking for two people. I would like the reviews to be similar to my style. You don't have to add photos, quotes, colors, or book and movie news; nothing fancy is a must. Also, you cannot review your own story if you are a critic. Wall me or add me if you are interested.

And, to end, if you want me to review a story, comment below the story name and the author.

To sign off, this has been the first edition of Author News and Reviews with Shana Alana!

    Book and Movie news:

As I said in the last edition, Levin Rambin will be playing Clarisse in the Sea of Monsters movie. I have also learned the Stanley Tucci, Caesar Flickerman, our favorite interviewer of the Hunger Games, will be playing as Dionysus. Two Hunger Games characters in another movie. Who else thinks it to be good?

And that wraps up this edition of Author News and Reviews. Remember, if you want me to check out your story, let me know! This has been Shana Alana of Author News and Reviews signing off.
