  1. So, I've been writing alot of poetry lately. I figured I might as well post it on here. Also, Ali has repeatly been telling me to put these up on FF too.

Anyhow, feel free to post your own.

    Forever and Always

At night, you think I don't see you crying,
The marks left on your face as the tears start drying,

You hate having weaknesses, it makes you blue,
But nobody is invincible, not even you,

In the morning your eyes are red and puffy,
I pretend not to notice as I pour you a coffee,

You need help, that I can tell,
It's obvious that you're going through hell,

In sleep, where nightmares make you scream,
I'll hold you and whisper 'it's only a dream',

You ignore the streaks left on your face,
Pretending you're in a happy place,

But I see it as a silent plea,
Asking for comfort, maybe from me,

But I'm not sure, I cannot tell,
I tried but you just curl into your shell,

Are you afraid of hurting your pride,
If you ask for help and let me inside?

The burden you carry is too heavy to bear,
Share it with me, I'm someone who cares,

But giving in is not giving up,
I'll help you out, change your luck,

I'll take away the solemn tears,
Make you happy, full of cheer,

Keep in mind on your darkest days,
No matter what, I'm here to stay,

Even when you feel like you've run out of doorways,
Remember that I'm here, forever and always.

  2. Even when the night has broken
    I still see the light
Of all those who went to heaven
Not those who didn't see the light

    I sit under the maple
    Staring at the stars
    Of my ancestors
    Smiling down at me
    I see the buffalo running
    And the deer jumping
    The horses being Ridden
I smile up at my horse and ride him
    To the light

  3. Escape

    I'm here, you're gone,
    You're at step 5, I'm still at 1,

My eyes still full of unshed tears,
I'm so far, yet you are so near,

You manage to take my breath away,
Even though so still you lay,

I have nothing, you have all,
I feel so short since you're so tall,

    You escaped, I was caught,
You have all while I have naught,

I cannot see, have lost all hope,
While you are free, above the smoke,

    You flew, I fell,
You're in heaven, I'm in hell,

    You laughed, I cried,
    I lived, you died.

  4. What the crap?!?!?!!

  5. ...what? I admit my poems can be slightly depressing, but there's no need to swear...

  6. No I meant how'd the other person die?

  7. It's a poem, there's no backstory...

  8. Tis only

Tis only the calm before the storm
    That keeps the shadows away,

Tis only the second before the shot
That keeps war breaking out at bay,

Tis only the silence in the prayer
That keeps the devil from coming,

Tis only the moment before the race
That keeps them all from running,

    Tis only the fleeting countdown
That keeps the bomb from detonating,

Tis only the minute before the new year
That keeps the people from celebrating,

Tis only the pause before the murder
That keeps the victim from screaming,

Tis only the regret before the departure
That keeps the other from leaving,

Tis only the uncertainty before the decision
    That keeps some from confidence,

Tis only the submission before the fight
    That keeps many from dominance,

Tis only a strong and shocking emotion
That keeps you from drawing breath,

Tis only the final remaining heartbeats
That keeps one separated from death.

  9. This girl has barely anything left,

Her heart lies in an empty, cavernous chest,

All feeling abandoned a long time ago,

Into the ocean, her soul did she throw,

Alone from the moment she was born,

    Another orphan nobody would mourn,

She barely made it, yet she survived,

To live she stole, she hurt, she lied,

A wandering child, looked after by none,

Each turned her away, one by one,

In the end she stopped looking, she gave up,

She became a street beggar with a little tin cup,

She grew cold, hungry and tired,

Alone in the dark, but being admired

She did not know this stranger, nor did him know she,

But he stole her and stripped her of her dignity,

Left in the alleyway she wondered why

God could not simply let her die

Why must she go through such horror and strife,

Why couldn't she have a happier life?

She prayed to be left there, to perish and freeze,

But God did not answer her begging and pleas,

In morning she woke, her clothed soiled and torn,

She collapsed and sobbed, distraught and forlorn,

She decided if fate would not go to plan,

She would take matters into her own hands,

She stole a rope and tied a noose,

And with a final breath, let her half life loose.

  10. WHOA. CALM DOWN.

  11. BUT DEPRESSING POETRY IS MY STYLE.

  12. And it's simply beautiful 

Not all poem's are about happy-go-lucky prom queens skipping with joy into the sunset in an attempt to created rejuvenating and nostalgic feeling, in fact a large part of it is chiefly what most would describe dark and depressing. Edgar Allen Poe and Chloe's works as an example. Poems are a way to express feeling, in this case, depression with a large side of tragedy, and I fully applaud anyone who can pull it of. So,

    

Congrats on the phenomenal work, Tash. You make an absolutely brilliant author and poet.

  13. Thanks  I'm working on your poem about your missing drawing tablet cord right now. I shall try and make it as interesting as possible, but no promises...

  14. Haha I will want to read that and amazing job really I got the second one how living here is trapped and death is a freedom it's beautiful I can't believe that just one person could use just words to make something like that but you did and you blew my mind really 

  15. THIS IS WHY I SHOULD NOT WRITE POETRY IN UNDER FIVE MINUTES AND AFTER MIDNIGHT. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

    The lost cord

Oh dear, where did it go?
I never thought this far I could throw,

Has it been shoved into the shed,
Or simply misplaced next to my bed?

My drawing tablet is losing power,
I doubt I left it in the shower,

But I'll check. Just in case.
Maybe it's now in a better place.

Maybe it went to play hide and seek,
With keys and remote, things are looking bleak,

If I cannot find my charging cord,
Then I dearly pray to my God, my Lord...

That the store sells spare ones.

  16. Oh my brought tears to my eyes
