I wasn't saying that it was crap. All I was saying is I think that Sony doesn't need to rush a new system when games for ps3 aren't even close to maxing system hardware yet. Even with a new release from Xbox, the ps3 can still be a good competitor. But if they rush ps4 out, its possible that it might turn a lot of ppl off of it due to lack of perfection. I know I wouldn't want to buy a new console that has known bugs, solely because it's new. Especially when games for ps3 will still be being made. On that hand of course, Sony will try and persuade people into buying it by making new titles of popular series available on ps4. Such as halo.
Sony maybe putting revenue before everything with this release, as people will always be buying the console. It's not a surprise on the early details of release, as Sony has made losses for four years as tv and other electronics sales are down, and a new console means a lot more games sales too. The PS4 isn't backwards compatible - unless they decide to change that before release. They are thinking of putting PS3 games on the cloud networks, but not sure if they'll charge for download again - I bet it depends on how much revenue the official release week brings in. There are many people out there that have built up a games collection for the PS3, and if they get the new console will have to start all over. Also no surprise we haven't seen what the console looks like or an official date yet. It leaves them flexible to react to what Microsoft and Nintendo may do with any new products they may announce, but has also got people talking about Sony.
I won't be buying a ps4 until about a year after the release or more. That will give them time to release special edition versions, more games, upgraded software, and any other features or bugs they may add or fix. And, price should go down some by then as well
