For those who have 2 year old kids, I need your help! I have a 2 year old nephew and I'll be babysitting him for a week. Problem is, he really is too much! I mean, he's all over the place. One minute he's calm, then he'd go ballistic the next. So, do you guys have some advices on how to handle these type of kids? Any suggestion would be DEEPLY APPRECIATED.
Take him out...to a park..somewhere fun and let him burn out his energy..later on you may actually get some peace for a while when he's all tired out lol. 2 is a difficult age unfortunately...will certainly test your patience. Haha. But yeah my advice would be to jus keep him busy with things..play silly games...keep him entertained.
Well, keep him very active. Toys, coloring sheets, interactive games on your iDevice (if you could trust him with it...). Maybe give him a project? Have him draw something for his parents? Eh, idk.
Okay, so iDevice is out of the question. I once gave him my tab and he managed to break it. Damn thing won't start again. Coloring and projects? Is that suited for a 2 year old?
Coloring for sure. Project is too advanced for a 2yo. Apart from what was suggested above, reading him stories/nursery rhymes also works. Last resort is dvds. Kids shows like dora should keep her hooked.
When my Nephew was 2 years old he was very interested in tv especially when he saw Girls Dunno if that will work with your nephew or not but as far as I know keep him away from Modern technology because my nephew phoned up sum random gal n said hello I love you !!!
Wallace idea is great I say, let him play and be wild through the day and veer away from naps. He will be wore out early then when it's bed time he's out. Or chlorofum is a great alternative
Hide and Go Seek (we jump out and say boo) Tag Yo Gabba Gabba Coloring Chalk Bubbles Books Bugs Wagon Rides Gummy Worms Spinning In Circles Dancing To Music Singing Songs (Itsy Bitsy Spider & the like) Practicing The Alphabet Counting ^^^^ things my two year old niece can't get enough of.
Speaking from experience, as long as you keep a 2 yr old busy then you will have no problems. Taking them outdoors will help lower their energy levels and I know my 2 yr old loves to do anything with arts and crafts. The more busy they are, the less havoc they will cause throughout the day. Not to mention, will wear them out and hopefully take a nap sometime during the day.
