EMT story from 2-6-13:Last night me and my partner got a call a women passed out in the street.when we arrived I found out that her BAC (Blood Alcohol Contents) quadrupled the legal amount of .08 and she also had a AVR (Aortic Valve Replacement) the alcohol had attacked at her body and made her organs fail.I started doing CPR as my partner got the AED machine but it happened to be to late we had to rule her COD (Cause Of Death) was alcohol poisoning.... The story told above is true and an actual no legal terms say I can not share this as long as I don't identify any of the victims in these situations. Thanks for reading just want to share some EMT stories with you guys RIP.unidentified woman
there are legal terms regarding sharing medical information about anyone... but like you care since you're the girl that pulled google images and claimed they were of you, i guess you're not too concerned.
Emts dont rule cause of death. Coroners do! How do I know? Hmmm, well my mom just passed away...oh and CAUSE MY SMART FIANCEE WORKS IN A HOSPITAL!
I did not release anyone's name I am a EMT and studying to be a nurse I know patients legal rights I did not disclose anyone's name or any identity so no legal harm and if you guys don't want to believe me that's perfectly fine but I am a certified EMT and this did happen
Nick you do realize the EMTS who call the death have to meet with the Coroners and every state and country is different of rules and regulations
Doesn't matter, an EMT cant pronounce death, therefore can not assume cause of death. That is the coroner and an autopsy. Fact: I know alot about New York. I practically live there.
EMT can pronounce death! If i do CPR for 10-15 min and the victim is not responding you cant keep on doing it because if they do come back to life they will have severe brain injurys
You can proceed with DNR but cannot pronounce a person dead its highly illegal for anyone to pronounce a person dead except a coroner.
