Chapter 15 Secret admirer? Two days before Valentine's Day?! Was I finally going to have a valentine on Valentine's Day? Who could it be? At this point, I didn't even know. Was it Jeremy? Oh gosh, what am I supposed to say to him? Could it even be Noah possibly? Noah was mysterious, but once you got to know him, he's one of the coolest people ever. Jeremy, on the other hand, was more of a love at first sight thing. Not love but I mean... My heart did flutter. When you first see him, his glasses and hair over his eyes make him look like a total nerd. It's his voice. How smooth, silky, and deep his voice is. His smile gets me every time. His dimples are adorable and his perfectly straight teeth make it even better. The question is, who is it? I'll see tomorrow! I walked home wondering and happily skipping. I'm going to have a valentine on Valentine's Day! I squealed with excitement. I had to choose what to wear! All my friends were at the Student Council meeting preparing for the Valentine's Day dance on Friday (which is two days from now) so I couldn't ask them what to wear. If my secret admirer is Noah, I can't ask him for advice either! Ugh. I rummage through all my clothes in my closet to see what I should wear just like the day I had the date. I didn't have Noah this time to help me, but I managed. After about forty five minutes, I decided on my favorite, coral, transparent, blouse tucked into light blue, polka dot jeans. The coral blouse made my skin appear tanner and the polka dot jeans were fitted making my legs look slim. I paired the whole outfit off with diamond studs, a pointy, spike bracelet Addy got me, and my favorite pair of brown ankle boots. I decided to style my hair in a ballerina bun to look professional, but flirty... Well, at least, I hope I did. I slept amazingly during the night, after that elevation ripple whatever thing, I haven't had a nightmare since. I actually dreamed of me being the queen and Priscilla as my servant; I thought it was funny. I woke up bright and early when the sun was rising, the sky, purple and pink with very few clouds. I knew it was cold from the frosted tips of grass making my neighborhood look like a winter wonderland. I got dressed into the outfit I planned yesterday; the coral blouse, polka dot jeans and my brown boots looked pretty great together. For the hair, I used my hair donut to form a perfect ballerina bun at the top of my head. I thought I looked polished enough. I left the house earlier than usual, throwing on my brown, puffy jacket and my favorite purple scarf. The walk to school was okay today, with cold winds and a slight drizzle. I was mostly antsy to finally see my secret admirer. Valentine's Day was tomorrow, and I really wanted to know who it was; I'm dying to see. Each class went by a blur. Noah and I finally started talking again, and Jeremy and I started talking again. They both acted like neither of them were my valentine, or they were just good at keeping secrets. Jeremy did link his arm into mine today during passing. Priscilla was always at his side, him standing in between. She got extremely annoyed that we were linking arms, but she tried to ignore it. Noah, today, was giving me extra hugs, more than usual. He rarely hugs me, so is he my valentine? My head was spinning. Rrringgggg. The end of the day bell rang. I was really nervous to see who my secret admirer was. Checking my phone, the time was 3:20 PM; I had enough time to get to the roof top. My school allowed students to the rooftops because at night during the spring, the astronomy teachers brought telescopes up there to see the stars and planets. The garden club also grew plants up there. Different types of flowers as shrubs beautifully colored the boring rooftop. I walked up the outdoor stairs, the only way to get to the roof and smoothened out my blouse. I checked myself in the mirror really quickly before pulling open the heavy, green door. The rooftop looked dead in the weather like this. The potted plants and rows of flowers were just bare soil or dead. There were green benches surrounding the perimeter of the rooftop and a small, dirty pavilion in the center. I look up to see a person on the opposite bench staring off into the distance. I can't see who it is because of the direction their facing and their hood over their head. I walk up to them really slowly, my brown boot clacking on the hard concrete. As I get closer, I keep wondering. Noah or Jeremy? Jeremy or Noah? My stomach flips and flops around nervously. Oh gosh. I may need to throw up. I walk slower as I get closer until I finally reach the edge of the green bench. The paint was starting to chip off revealing the old, creaky wood. "Hi," I say nervously. "I've been expecting you," the person responds. Their voice was shrill, hushed, and eerie. It isn't Jeremy. It isn't Noah. The person peels the navy blue hood off and smirks at me. Priscilla. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Update let me know if I should continue or not
