Idk if people are gonna like this cause it's been ages since I've written anything and yeah it's horror, but ill try Might not be too long seeing as I intend on doing a series of stories like this.. Here goes. It was late September. The breeze swept through the trees, gently prising free leaves in every shade of auburn as the sunlight crept above the horizon. Anna Young shivered, pulling down the sleeves of her deep crimson sweater. She didn't have friends, not really, and she walked to school alone. She looked down at her feet as she tiptoed through the leaves, her black sneakers were battered and torn and the bottom of her favourites blue jeans had holes ripped into them by the harsh gravel of the street. She sighed and flipped her brunette curls out of her face, revealing her pale complexion and mesmerisingly emerald eyes, and trudged on. Her mind was drawn to the nightmare she'd had earlier, the reason she was almost an hour ahead of schedule. She strained to remember, but only managed to conjure up the image of a basement without breaking a sweat. When she arrived, to her dismay the caretaker was already there, carrying the latest batch of school supplies. ''Fancy giving me a hand?" He called, breathless with the weight. He couldn't have been older than twenty, but nevertheless she agreed. Anna picked up a box of text books and followed him down to the basement, admiring his radiant blond hair and blushed when he turned to smile at her. 'Wow' she whispered absentmindedly, her face turned a deep shade of pink. He laughed and took the box from her. "Wait here a minute" he smiled, a glint of mischievousness in his icy blue eyes. She obeyed and sat down on the floor, watching his large muscular figure walk towards the door. To her surprise, he bolted it shut. "Or a lifetime." He turned to her, his eyes now full of malice. "What..?" Stammered Anna, her heart in her stomach. The caretaker didnt reply, instead he tossed her a rope and barked her a single command to which she obeyed, after noticing the glint of the knife in his hand. *The next day* 'Good morning, this is BBC News. School girl Anna Young was found dead yesterday afternoon after committing suicide in the basement of her local high school. After new evidence came to light recent events show a past of mental health issues and self harm, explaining the cuts on her body. The caretaker has been released after questioning.' Opinions?

⌚30 years later⌚ The basement was dark and cold. She felt blind and helpless as she stumbled between the multiple boxes of books and stationary towards the small slit of light from underneath the door, towards safety. She stopped suddenly, monitoring the breath of her capturer. The almost inaudible rise and fall of his chest is what stood between her and freedom, but it was obscured by the rhythmic dripping of what she hoped was water. She crept towards the exit and slowly reached for the handle, the cool metal stinging her palms. Then, a sharp pain in the back of her skull. It was excruciating, piercing even. She fell to the concrete floor below and listened to the scuffling footsteps stride away from her body. She closed her eyes... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Eliza opened her eyes and sat bolt upright in her bed, breathing heavily. Her emerald eyes were full of water as tears streamed down her pale cheeks. She raised a hand and wiped the sweat from her forehead. 'Number 8' she thought, making a mental note of the amount of similar nightmares she'd endured. "Liz!" Called her Father, Scott, from downstairs. "I'm up!" Yelled Eliza in return. They went through this routine each morning. Eliza was usually less willing to get ready for school, but today felt different. She hauled herself out of bed and sat in front of her mirror, slowly combing through her long, brunette hair. She applied a swish of eyeliner on her lids and opened her wardrobe. 'I have no clothes!' she growled to herself, reluctantly grabbing a cream sweater, burgundy jeans and her tan boots. 10 minutes later, she was out of the house and making her way to hell. Or, as most people call it, school. Eliza was a suffer in silence type, and kept herself isolated from the rest of the student body; they were too immature for her taste. Suddenly a large figure jogged past her, sweeping her school books out of her arms, all over the muddy floor. "Oi!" Shouted Eliza, shaking in rage as she hurriedly gathered her books and assignments. The jogger turned round and winked at her, his icy blue eyes glinting in the rising sunlight. After a smirk and a quick laugh at her expense, he turned and continued jogging. 'Stupid boy' she groaned. The school bell rang out as Eliza trudged drearily through the gates. 'Art first' she sighed, it can never be fun for someone who struggles to draw a stickman. She walked into the warmth and took out her pencils. She noticed a new student sitting on the stool next to her, but didn't speak to them; being alone was a preference. "Joel, coat off please." Called the teacher. The boy next to Eliza complied. Eliza turned to take a look at him and saw a pair of icy blue eyes. "Hey!" She gasped, "it was you!" Joel chuckled, smirking at her. "Guilty." Rage filled Eliza and in a moment of madness, she reaches over, grabbed his paint and poured it over his shirt. Instead of the anger she expected, Joel turned to her with a glint of mischievousness in his eyes and threw a whole can of red paint over her sweater. Soon enough, paint in every colour of the spectrum was flying through the air. Students hid under their easels and their tables whilst the paint war continued. Eliza snarled and Joel laughed as they flung can after can. The click clack of high heeled shoes entered the room, and everyone froze. 'Eliza! Joel! DETENTION.' I know this update was kinda bad, but it gets better. Promise
This is my other account so it won't confuse you, but yeah sorry I haven't updated yet I've been busy, I'll try tomorrow .-.
Eliza glared at Joel from across the classroom, the air thick with one sided hostility. Joel, however, didn't seem to notice her icy stare as he tapped away with his pencil on the graffitied desk. 'Stupid boy' muttered Eliza, under her breath. Joel turned in his seat to look at her. 'What was that?' 'I said, stupid boy.' She snarled. Joel was surprised she wasn't breathing fire by now, imagining the flames engulfing his body like a fiery blanket. He shivered, and attempted to diffuse the situation. 'How about we ditch this dumb detention and call it quits?' He offered warily. 'Whatever.' She replied, her tone of voice lacking any trace of enthusiasm. Joel stood up and grabbed his rucksack, sliding it onto one shoulder. 'Come on then.' He smiled. Eliza stood and gathered her things, following Joel out of the door and out of the school. She froze. 'Wait, where are we going?' Joel reached back and grabbed her hand. 'My place.' Sorry it was kinda short and took ages, I'm doing my best to do this and my GCSEs are this year and yeah, it's hard
I like it so far. Here's a few things I would recommend: ~Be careful with your tenses. This is past tense, right? Because a few times, you accidentally write something in present tense ~For dialogue, you started off with quotation marks, but then gradually switched to these: ' I think those are just called apostrophes, but I dunno.Overall, a good story ^.^
