He was attacked when he was in the woods going to look for a friend when he did that he was attacked by the alpha werewolf but a week later the alpha died and he turned into the alph werewolf

Victoria: "Look Noah. She's not over him! Look at the poor girl!" Point to Kirsten still sobbing on the grass "I'm sorry, Noah. But, she's not ready." Walks away, her pale skin blending into the snow.
