Personality Thief? "You wish for eternal beauty?" Asked the vampire. "Yes, I do," I replied. "Is there anybody that you wish to look like?" "Yes, Alyssa Connolly, she's in my class," I told him. He nodded and left my tower bedroom. I stood on the cold, stone floor, the curtains flapping in my face. That night, I lay in my bed, wandering why he asked me that second question. Maybe he needed some sort of vision of how I would look? I don't know! I woke up and looked in my mirror, I rubbed my eyes, stuck a brush through my hair and then I woke up fully. I stared at myself in the mirror. My black hair was shiny, like black ice on a road and as long as Rapunzel's, my teeth were as white as snow, and my eyes as blue as the ocean. I was beautiful, but, how did he do it so quickly? How did this strange vampire even grant wishes? All I knew was that if I gained something, then somebody lost something. "You look lovely, Anna," said my Mum. I nodded with a strange look on my face, as if a vampire had swooped into my room and granted me eternal beauty. "Did you dye your hair?" She asked me. I shook my head, still confused about last night. "Mum, am I dreaming?" I asked her. She looked at me weirdly, I took it as a no. I grabbed my plate, Mum had decided to use the fancy plates this morning. I walked over to the stove and suddenly got a thought. What about Alyssa?! I wished for beauty like hers, he must have taken hers and put it in me! I dropped my plate, and my Mum made a huge fuss, like that episode of 'Friends' where Amy and Rachel have a fight and knock over Monica's fancy plate and she goes nuts! Just then, I got a text, it was from Trevor, Alyssa's boyfriend. It said 'Alyssa is sick and won't be in school for about two weeks! - Trevor x'
When I got into school, I had compliments, here, there, and everywhere. I had ten people ask me to the Valentines' Day Dance; I said no to all of them. I had my eyes set on Trevor, I was hoping that once he sees how ugly Alyssa is now, he will dump her and come running into my arms. The bell rang and me and Trevor made our way to Science with Victoria. Victoria was extremely smart, and she got As on everything! Oh, how I longed to be as smart as her! When we got to Science, we took our places and got out her textbooks and our notebooks, I'm hopeless at Science, so I sat at the back doodling in my notebook for the whole lesson. I drew me and Trevor walking down the red carpet, and then I drew me and him lying under the stars, like that scene in 'Twilight'. "Can anybody tell me the third element on the Periodic Table of Elements?" Asked Dr. Blockley. "Anna?" I looked up and searched my brain for the answer to his question.
"Umm...hydrogen?" I replied, I didn't know the answer, I was trembling because I didn't want another detention. "Anna? Have you done something different to your hair?" She asked, totally forgetting about the earlier question. "No, no I didn't," I told her. She nodded her head and went back to her desk, while I went back to my doodling. ----------------------- That night was strange, I waited and waited and waited, the vampire didn't come. I waited and waited and waited. He still didn't come. I waited and waited and waited, and, eventually, he came.
This story is exactly like a book i read before... As in the setting, the idea, and everything... i forgot the book name .-.
What's the book called? If you can remember the exact vocab then you surely can remember the name of the book... .-.
I'm the kind of person that remembers roughly what happens in the story, but forget the book name... i don't judge book by it's cover, or in this case, title, so i don't remember it
