Okay, so my first story sucked majorly. I haven't written anything in so long. This might be short now, but it will get better and longer I do promice you fellow readers. ------------- "Don't you just love it when people so unqualified tries telling you what to do? yeah well this is my life. Everytime I turn around somebody who don't know squat about me or my life decides to put their imput into my ears, and try to make me do it their way. I'm tired of it!" Torrie screamed into her iPhone. She missed those days where you could just slam it closed. Life was simpler then. Her boyfriend of 6 months Danny, he hated hearing her like that. Just knew something went wrong at school. "Talk to me lovie. Please. Who pissed you off? You know I can't help if I don't got a name." his voice was sincere and sad. "I'm coming over right now. I don't want to be here now." After that was said she endes the call. She knew he would protest, but they only could see each other on the weekends because of the distance their parents put between them. For some reason, they think they're not right for each other. Oh well. They can get over it. Torrie ran down the stairs so fast and grabbed her keys off the coffee table and slipped out the door before her mom heard her. Out in the driveway sat her most prized posession, a 1969 Chevy Chevelle. Her dad had fixed it up right before her 18th birthday. She loved it, even though it chugged gas like it's free, but it means more than anything to her. She slid the key into the ignition and started her baby up. As she put it into reverse, her mom was on the balcony looking down at her as she pulled out of the driveway and drove off. She knew now, only thing that's between her and Danny is 3 hours of driving... but at the end, it's always worth it.
Torrie's long flowing blonde hair was tousled as she did 75 down I90 with the windows down in the middle of winter. She took the exit ramp a little too fast so as she saw a red light her foot slammed down the break. Stopped just in time before she rear ended the car in front of her. Her right hand fumbled with the pack of Marlboro reds with no success. "Grrr!! Damnit." She made a right off the ramp and headed down the street. Half an hour more, she will be happy. As she hit another red light 3 blocks away she bent over and grabbed a smoke and lit one. Smoking made her calm, even though it didn't help her asthma at all. She could hear her mothers voice playing in her head "you need to quit!" she laughed and took another drag. By the time her smoke was done she was turning down Danny's street. She rummaged through her black coach bag for her iPhone. As she grabbed it, she was pulling up his driveway. "I'm outside. Come for a drive with me. <3" She sent the text. Not even 5 minutes later, Danny came running outside and to the passenger side door. He leaned in and they kissed for a minute. Torrie reversed out the driveway and drove off into the night. Danny was a whole 8 inches taller than her at 5'2. His blue eyes could melt ice in Antartica if he tried hard enough. There was just something about him she couldn't just let go. If anything, she wouldn't let go. "Will you tell me why you blew up on the phone earlier?" He looked over at her and he couldn't help but smile the widest smile. "I honestly don't want to. You know mother and everybody at school. They've been talking about you since you left, and it's nothing good. I can't stand it." She sighed and pulled into Ihop. "I hope your hungry, cause I'm freaking starving." She turned her baby off and pulled out the keys before unbuckling herself. Danny leaned over as he unbuckled and grabbed her face gently and cupped her cheeks with both hands. His thumb ran gently over her face, and for the first time in a month she truly smiled. "Do you want to know something?" Danny asked and waited on a nod. As soon as she did, he continued; "I love you. I love that you stand up for people, even if you can't stand them. Hell, i love the fact you stand up for yourself. You say what's on your mind no matter what's happening. You're beautiful inside and out. There's not a lot of people in the world that have the personality like you do. There's nobody like you. I mean this. I love you. I want us, forever. Now let's go eat." He opened his door and walked around and opened the door for her and laced his fingers with hers as they walked in.
As they sat and ate their pancakes, Torrie's mind wandered, like it always did. A vibration from her phone caused her to jump and come back into reality. She didn't want to check it cause she knew it was mother, but she'd be pissed if she didn't. Her hand slid in the pocket of her neon green skinny jeans, and pulled out her phone and read the message. "Tor, where are you? I'm at your house and Lily don't know where you went! Get here soon, I need to see you." Her eyes widened just a bit to see Danny staring at her. She shook her head and he knew what that meant. She got up out of her seat and pointed towards the door. Danny dropped a $20 on the table and followed her out. She waited for him by the hood of the car. When he was spotted she ran for him and jumped in his arms and kissed him lightly. "My mom needs me home. I'll call you when i get home." They walked to the car in silence and drove him home. There's something eating her inside and he knew it. He just let it go because in his heart he knew what was happening. ------- Dun dun dun. Any guesses what's going to happen next?
By the time she got home it was nearly 2am, and she had school in 5 hours. There's no way she was getting sleep tonight, and even if she did, it would only be about an hour. The car in front of her in the driveway, she didn't reconize. She killed the car and grabbed her bag off the passenger seat and got out. Her butt bumped the door closed and walked up the walkway to the door. She fumbled with the 6 keys on the keychain only to see the door open and her mothers distraught face appear. "Torrie, where the hell were you at?! You know it's a school night... AND Shawn has been here for the past 4 damn hours!" Lynn scolded her, and let her pass then shut and locked the door. "Well, Lynn, you should have just told that douche to leave. You know damn well what happened between us. Now I'm going to bed!" She screamed as she stormed up the stairs and into her bedroom before slamming the door. "After all that has happened between me and Shawn, he still seems to think he could show up unannounced." She mumbled and threw her bag on the bed. ---Flashback It was a year ago and her and Shawn were saying their goodbyes before he took off for boot camp. Neither of them could stop crying even though they knew it's not going to be forever. "Tor, you know I'm going to be gone for over 6 months, I don't want you waiting for me. Everybody knows how I feel for you. I want to know, at least, are you going to miss me?" "Shawn, we're best friends and have been for 12 years now; You know I tell you everything. Just, when you get back... I can't wait to see you." ---End Flashback That kept playing through her mind all night. She loved him, and she didn't want to tell him. Nothing's like being truly, madly, deeply in love with your best friend. She sneaked to the door and lightly opened it before sneaking downstairs to find Shawn sleeping on the hideaway bed. She slid into bed with him and curled up next to him and drifted asleep. ---- The next chapter is all going to be from Randy's perspective. And I'm silenced so I can't update any of you so I apologize!! Xo
---Danny's Perspective After Torrie dropped him off he went up the stairs to the house and walked in. First thing he saw was his brother Jake sitting on the couch flipping through channels on the tv smoking a joint. Jake spotted him and passed it. "You know the rules, puff, puff, pass. But what's wrong lil brah?" "I'm pissed. Tor got a text while we were out, claimed it was her ma. I knew it wasn't her mother that texted her and made her want to leave that fast. That could only mean one thing, Shawn was back, and he wanted to see her. Hell the reason why he signed up for boot camp was my fault. I don't like him, and I damn well dont like him around my girlfriend." Danny took a few puffs and passed it back to his brother. "Well brah, you know those women are going to do what they're gonna do, regardless of who they're going to hurt. You'll understand that a lot more as you grow older... but hell, I shouldn't be telling you when I could barely keep a relationship any longer than you. So brah, we both got the crappy end of the relationship stick." Next thing you know Jake was laughing and passing the joint back to his brother before going to raid the fridge for the munchies. He turned to his bro, and held up funyuns, leftovers and a few beers before going back to the living room and sitting down next to Danny. "I call those funyuns.. you can have dad's cooking." Danny laughed and popped the top on the beer. "Bro, I love her. I don't know what it is, but i love her. Everything about her but we all know her feelings for Shawn. I liked it a lot more when he was out of the picture. I know it's kind of messed up but nothing could kill my feelings for her." He chugged some beer and tore open the bag. "Brah, I know you don't want to hear this, but your 25, she's 18, and on top of it, you've only known her for a year or so. Shawn has been in the picture since forever, and you knew what you were getting into when you met her, we talked about that remember?" "Yeah, I remember... but I kinda poured my heart out to her a little while ago. I told her I love her! How much more real can that get? I know... I know, I just don't wanna think about this anymore, it's killing my high." They clinked bottles and drank away. --- Well, of all I've written, this chapter was hardest. I love your feedback, so it's appreciated.
