Can anyone help me out with my Homestuck Vriska cosplay? I haven't actually started yet, but I just need some tips on making the horns. I'm planning on using clay, Model Magic from Crayola if I have to. Any recommendations for clay would be wonderful! I'm looking for something light and won't crack easily, and wouldn't fall (crumble) after drying. I'm not exactly sure how to make them, even searching for tutorials on the Web. They're pretty insightful, just not detailed enough for me to comprehend. XD Here's the references: They actually have three colors, like on the last picture. I'm actually going to do God Tier vriska though, so any help on the wings would be greatly appreciated as well! ^God Tier There actually isn't a comic con where I live, just anime cons (which don't really allow homestuck) or anything like that nearby, so the reason behind why I'm doing this is to freak people the fuck out and get shoes thrown at me while I strut down the street. That, and if they ever let Homestucks into anime cons, I'll be there in my Vriska get up, lmao. Any help, again, would be greatly appreciated!! <3 ;u; All I need are some tutorials and tips to making good horns and fairy wings, like the ones shown above. Maybe even the hoodie! Sewing tips, general clay molding tips, anything of the sorts! Thanks!!
Lol!! All I can do is weapons for cosplay. Anyway, how about you try working with metal or wood for your horns? Then stick 'em out in a headband. It's just a thought though.
Really? I'll try seeing if I can get some. I'm not really going to do the vision eightfold on one of Vriska's eyes. If I do, I won't be able to see out of it, and I'm half blind. XD Google has LET ME DOWN. >:[
Hey, as long as it isn't a show specific con (ex: invader con/bronycon) you can cosplay whatever you like! There was a whole bunch of homestuck cosplayers at Anime Boston last year! (From what I've seen, I'm going there for the first time this year)
I live in China. Lol. More specifically, Macau. XD It's difficult to get materials, and the anime con last month at the Venetian said 'anime only', and I didn't want to get kicked out after the hassle of putting on all the makeup and shit, so I didn't get materials for the cosplay and didn't go. This time, I just want to see how many kids I can make cry and how many times I'll get arrested in the short span of 24 hours. *u*
Really? Thanks! I spent the entire evening searching for horn tutorials but I didn't know what to follow... I was afraid of the horns falling, or having them get too heavy to wear, and cracks are also bitches. Dx Thanks a lot though, every single bit helps!
I was just testing out the eye make up for Vriska. I've used eye shadow, eye liner and mascara. I wanted to make the blue on my eyelashes more noticeable.... An for brand recommendations. Thanks for all the help, guys!
