Wow I remember these hmm seems like the newbies don't learn huh

 

Nope. I remember when I was new to FF. Instead of diving right in and creating 50 pointless threads, I read stories, observing technique and sometimes commenting. It was actually several months before I posted my first story, and even then it was full of mistakes...

 

Ik right I read stories followed RPs even and read those fan fic news things to see what worked and what didn't then I joined RPs commented on stories and finaly made a story lol a long process

 

I can't stand when people try to be the boss if an RP when the owner is offline. Like I made an RP and this girl signed up and accepted herself and all these other people. It seriously pissed me off because I don't know the chick.

NekoItalia: I saw it happen, you were offline for ages. If they hadn't done that then your' RP would have died long ago...

 

That was the point it was technically closed before since not many people signed up.

 

Jennete, bringing other people into your situation doesn't make it any better.

Idk if any of you actually noticed, but I went off for like...a month? The RPs were getting to me. Then I come back and - BOOM. They're as annoying as always. The idea of bumping back old stories is a great one, but there isn't enough people. The one who bumped all my stories mostly was Sammi, but I think she left... There's a new generation of FFers and frankly, there's nothing we can do about it. We can keep ranting and all, but once a thread is made, it's made. One post can bump it back, and we have no control in stopping that. I created a new story, but by the second day, it landed on the third page. I hardly think I will update it. No one bumped it because they couldn't see it. My passion for writing stories has seriously faded because of RPs. I'm going to have to find another way I guess. But it was good while it lasted, you know.

Jenette, shut it. You're one of the God awful roleplayers that make roleplays seem terrible in comparison to those in other communities.

Honestly guys, FF is the worst place for a roleplay. It's a fucking forum, not a chat thread. A forum is a place where people post, and people can go on and off and the topic you were previously in would change to a new one entirely in a roleplay on FF, and that is definitely, definitely not fun. The format you use, anyway. I have no problem with RPs, but copious amounts of shit and unoriginality will cause me to go she-hulk on you and falcon punch you in the virtual nuts.

Stop being hypocrites, assholes.

Not being mean or anything, but when y'all do the whole *sigh* thing (or things to indicate real life actions or possible actions) that's technically role play. And Party in my Dorm is technically a role play game. You're playing in this virtual world, you can be anything and anyone you want, and you do stuff that you can't do in rl.

And some rp's like Survival and Underworld are actually fun cause you can't anticipate what the next person is going to do or say. It's fun to see what everyone comes up with to keep the plot going.

 

Guys I'm serious we already decided Future Combat is where rps are welcome. Stories remain here.
@Andi: I left too because of this crap. Honestly before when I first got onto fan fiction I couldn't go one night without getting on here and checking for story updates. Now most of the stories are shit and the good ones are pushed back.
@Goldialocks: I don't know if you remember me but, I always enjoy your rants because they're honest. When there is so much crap being thrown into Fan fiction I think it's okay to make rants. That's when the idiots come out.

 

I think bringing back the old stories is a wonderful idea. We should create a new post(I would be willing to if you guys agree) that has a list to bump up good/old that were still good stories. AND ONLY FOR STORIES!!! This is my suggestion and contribute to this rant. Bye!

 

I'm not sure if someonse suggested this, but I know it's happened in the past. It'll mean a lot of stories will be made, unclogging FF. So pretty much, the idea is a writing contest and winning story goes to the "best off" section.

 

Hey I RP but I don't support the lame ones okay I also write and if you don't like me don't chew me out in public that's not cool or respectful like the respect you want for your grievances I know that y'all are mad and I understand why but don't argue by tearing the person and using red hearings okay just use your good old logos and pathos  be the change you want to see you want stupid RPs to go make silly mean stupid comments about people go too

I really don't give a shit if I'm being harsh right now, but just seeing your comments make me want to slam my face into the wall. I just CANNOT handle this roleplay shit on FF right now. :|

It's not the roleplays we've got issues with. It's the unoriginality and the refusal of listening to advice or rants the first time this happened, and the first time this happened was like... 2011?

It's ridiculous. There's so many RPs, with so little unoriginality, and you have a bunch of roleplayers reacting because 'OHHHH NO OMG YOU MADE ANOTHER RANT THREAD. SHAT APPPPPP'

And some of them even agree when they're clearly being hypocrites and do nothing while the others try to blame the writers. Like I said, we're all part of the problem but at least some of us try to help. And that is? By posting on your RPs and making rants for awareness.

It's an endless cycle of stupidity.

And that's why I want to *facepalm*. There. I technically roleplayed.
