And never hire his tutors... Because that is disrespectful... However when I ask people and they never reply that's within their right as gods I assume?
The Greeks has several gods, duh. And obviously, Matt. Respect is very important on an online game. Without it our whole existence would shatter and we would all descend into anarchy.
As long as I have played pimd I've seen these types of threads from time to time all with a common theme. Ppl used to be more polite now not so much. Some game dynamics have changed over time but as far as I can tell, the basic background level of rudeness has remained pretty constant. Also please remember that courtesy and respect are different. Respect is earned. If I don't know you how could you have earned my respect? If you think it is rude that someone hired a tut without asking you, then you feel they have behaved in a discourteous manner towards you. That is not the same as disrespecting you.
Huh matt my brain isn't working very well ATM, 5am, 4 hours sleep past 3 days, brain function isn't so great
Hmm interesting... i only pay respect to my parents n elder family in RL , in the game i don't think so but just trying to be nice to ppl
I agree in asking first b4 hiring tutors. I do I daily. I hve people asking to be hired. I ask first I dnt just go around hiring other people's tutors. I have in one case asked but was impatient and hired anyway. Ofc te tutor got hired back. But I always ask first and I can't say anything abt the campus thing bc I'm guilty of that but only bc I tend to have a comment on idiots who post stupid crap on campus lol. But I agree. U want respect give respect. Doesn't necessarily mean to kiss ass to older players of the game. I dnt kiss ass so i dnt want anyone kissing mine. I agree Zach
Asking to hire a tut is a waste of time. One person asks, then has to wait for a reply which may not be favorable and could take 24 hrs or more. How does hiring a tutor show disrespect? In the end, aren't we all playing a game? And doesn't everyone deserve a chance to grow and earn? I mainly hire campus beggars. Often 10-20 a day. If you think it's worth everyone's time to stop, ask, and wait for a reply, you are insane. Bottom line on tuts: I check pupil for real system war. If they are in one, I give respect and don't hire. If they are in pwar, party or no war, I go ahead and hire. That is how it should work, in my opinion.
