Farm Guide & Farm Technique for Beginners

Discussion in 'Strategy' started by -MrE-, Nov 15, 2012.

  1. Everyday, all day long, newer players are asking what is farming, how do you do it and who do you do it to. Finally a guide that explains the techniques of farming and who to farm for beginners.

Farming is repeatedly Battling a single player over and over, several times within a short time period.

There are two methods of farming, Fight and Dance Off. Dance pays more and uses more energy per hit than Fight. You will want to make sure you're fully regenerated before you begin farming. The lower your energy is, the less payout you will get and the lower chance of winning. Below is the proper technique for farming both ways.

    Fight:
    -Attack Twice.
    -Wait 5 Minutes to Regenerate.
-Repeat the Above Two Steps 4 Times.
    -Attack Once.
-Wait 5 Minutes and You Will Regen Full.
    -Repeat.

    Dance:
    -Attack Twice.
    -Wait 5 Minutes to Regenerate.
    -Attack Once.
-Wait 5 Mintutes and You Will Regen Full.
    -Repeat

Now, knowing how to farm the question is, "Who can I farm without the fear of retaliation? Thankfully, there are several players who are known to be inactive that you can attack all day, everyday without fear of retaliation. Below I have listed just a few farms to get you started. For more farms ask more experienced players, specifically, your Pupil.

Notice that beside each inactive farms name was (#/#). Those are each farms "times". Because most farms you will come across are very well known, when you attack them, you will often get an Error "Defender Too Weak" (DTW). However, just like you yourself and every other player, including inactive players, each player regenerate every 5 minutes. That means by figuring out what time they regenerate, you can assure yourself to never get the dreaded and ever frustrating "Defender Too Weak" message. Each number (#/#) beside the inactive farms name are the two numbers you want to see on the last digit of your devices clock to know they have just regenerated and that you have an opportunity to get a hit in.

For new farms, remain on the players profile attacking once immediately after each minute changes until you get a successful hit and you will have their farm times. 0&5, 1&6, 2&7, 3&8, 4&9 and vice versa for each.

Lastly, is Tutor Bonus. When you Battle another player you will have a Battle window pop-up telling you if you have Won or Failed and how much cash you received and Strength/Intelligence you used in doing so. Notice under you earnings in smaller print is "Cash Bonus" & "Tutor Bonus". Tutor Bonus is additional money earned according to how much money you have invested into Tutors. The more money you have Hired in Tutors, the more your Tutor Bonus will be, but to a maximum.

When you begin building up your Tutor Bonus, start somewhere around $5million/Tutor. Pay attention to the Tutor Bonus you get the first time you attack when at full health. When you have hired another Tutor and the Tutor Bonus has not increased, you know you have reached your max Tutor Bonus. Keep in mind that the Tutor's stats have no bearing on this bonus, so it may even be worth while early on to hire really low stat Tutors that others don't want in hopes that they won't be hired away from you. As you grow, you may talk to your Pupil and he able to get him to Hire them away from you so that you can buy Tutors for other uses, such as, stat bonuses. In the end the Tutors will pay for themselves and dramatically increase the speed at which you upgrade.

I hope this guide helps many newcomers as this is a lot of priceless information very difficult to explain time and time again, so to all you Pupil's out there that work diligently with your Tutors, feel free to refer them to this guide!

Pictures would be good for newbs though.

Now we just have to ask them to find the forums button...

  6. I thought about that, because I've literally had Tutors not be able to find it with me walking them through it haha.

  7. Can everyone use the Feedback button to ask to have this stickied? I think it will help a ton.

  8. Re: Farm Guide

That strategy to do the fights:

2R2R2R2R1, by a small example calculation beats the strategy I would have guessed by 2 mil. So it is a good strategy for the larger stats.

    R = regen (5 min)
    2,1 being # hits.

I never do fights so I never investigated the amount of hits that should be done. Good job.

  9. Re: Farm Guide

You do not feedback to get something stickied. You need to send in an email.

  10. Re: Farm Guide

And reword " do three more times" rather than " 4 more times" or else an issue happens in the regen. Just be careful woth wording. When doing my calculations there was a hiccup when doing 2 hits 5 times because of the " 4 more times" suggestion.

    With* ^
    Good thread

  12. Snap!!! I did mess that one up!

  13. Re: Farm Guide

1- you might want to ask a mod to delete one of these threads, you posted same thread twice.
2-very useful for this who constantly ask on campus or what ever what is farming.
3- a future update of maybe the % loss when it's a close fight or when you get beat up badly, and when your hit. Same with dance.

Other than that it's pretty good, I use the same fighting style and dance style. Maybe you'd want to add that a fight unload pays approx 40% more than a dance unload, I've been working on the exact math for a thread im working on and when I get the exact numbers ill be happy to tell you for a future update to this thread. Maybe add a index or context as well? And some BB coding to make it look more neat.

maybe also add information of strip farming since this is a farming guide, above is a link to sf guide, ask the op for copyright permission first would be a wise choice.

  16. Re: Farm Guide

  17. Update coming on this soon as I get some posting issues resolved.

  18. Re: Farm Guide

Is there some sort of value you get per hit based on your stats and opponents stats? I'm 1/3 of my farms stats and have a 30mil tut with my own combined stats at 6k and my return is 250k per hit however one of the guides suggests hits of 20mil. What am I doing wrong lol?

  19. Nice treadh farm time and regen time is useful

  20. @Odo- I haven't seen any math worked out on the amount of cash earned per hit based on stats of each player. I will look into this though.
